The issue is that maybe he can't do his job without the stability provided by a wife and children.

We've seen the substandard on field perfomances of the "loose cannon" version of Fevola in previous years.

So rather than give the bloke the benefit of the doubt about his attitude we are just assuming without Alex he is nothing.

Thats utter crap. This bloke worked his @#$%&! arse off for this football club over this year to bring home a coleman medal to a wooden spoon winning side and as soon as he hits the headlines again we shit can him.

how about showing support rather than criticism for a bloke that has bled navy blue.

it's @#$%&! disgusting

Hmmm Fevolution your not Lara Bingle by chance?

http://www.heraldsun.news.com.au/footy/ ... 42,00.html

"LARA Bingle (Fevolution) fled her (his) Sydney (Melbourne) home yesterday amid fresh allegations her (his) phone "obsession" with married AFL star Brendan Fevola had been going on for at least two months (years)."

He's not being shit-cannned.

Many are just expressing concern over what impact all these events will have on his on-field performance.

We can't move forward as a club until we move flower like Fevola on (and get rid of the current board). Fevola is like Everitt, good players but always losers - have a look at Everitt's history, never played in a flag. As long as he's there we will remain a laughing stock and rooted to the bottom of the ladder.

yeah you're right....not being shit canned at all..

and thats just one of many posts i could point out.

Supporters SUPPORT, regardless of the circumstances

Pretty hard to support him in the current situation, also he is the person that sited Alex as the person who has set him straight, so it is fair to be concerned that he may go back to old habits. Most of us care about the potential to damage his on field ability. Still I would take a crap Fevola over any other forwards we have.

hard to support him in the current situation??? are you @#$%&! serious??

the man has split with his wif, AND????

so when warne and his missus split you couldnt support warne?

if you and your missus split you would think it was perfectly ok for your friends to withdraw and not support you???

come on be realistic...he is a football player who has split from his wife. We dont know the circumstances under which this has happened.

Everything up to this point is speculation.

It makes me sick how all these bandwagoners are so quick to jump off straight away.

If your that upset cut your @#$%&! memberships up and go follow someone else.

Chucky you cant honestly say that a player splitting up with his missus would be grounds for not supporting him though. for flowers sake.

if he had killed or raped someone or bashed someone, fair enough but the bloke and his wife have split up.

lets keep some @#$%&! perspective here people.

it's not a crime, you cant get charged for it, but you're right, i guess it would look better if him and alex werent in love but stayed together in a fake relationship. thats heaps better for both of them and us.

Wonder if Tarrant has had his "guidance dinner" with him yet?

Perhaps Fev actually got tips from Chris.

People like to get on their moral high horse bnz. Fevola has done nothing illegal yet there are calls to get rid of him at first the opportunity.

If we extended the criteria of wholesomeness to forum posters and kick off anyone who has ever done anything morally unsavoury I'd be one of the first to go.

Just surprised at how many hypocrits and bandwagoners there are here.

I'm sure there are carlton players in the past that have split from their wives.....scrub their names from the lockers.

it's just pathetic.

Its his private life and he is entitled to some privacy.

Life is replete with examples of sports stars/entertainers/scientists etc etc beign brilliant at their field but less than moral champions.

Would anyone here like our private lives played out in the media like this?

It's not so much as a one off offence with Fev, it's a lifestyle thing. He's a timebomb waiting to go off and when he does there'll be damage to the team. We'll either end up with nothing but memories, or he'll do something really dumb. His career has been teetering on the edge for 5 years - you just have to wonder when it completely implodes.

Now there's a thread we could get interested in  .
