We should trade with GC.
At present they have, pick 4, 8, 22 and 24.
Will end up with picks 6 (Prestia) and pick 10 (O'meara).
That gives them picks 4, 6, 8, 10, 22 and 24.
If we offer them pick 5, 25 and our first pick next year for picks 4, 8 and 10.
CG will have picks 5, 6, 22, 24 and 25 and our first pick next year.
We get, picks 4, 8, 10, 13 (Gibbs).
Pick 13 for Marchbank, Pickett and Stewart.
Pick 58 for Horvat.
Picks 4, 8 and 10 straight to the draft for kids..
Have to give a little to get a little, can trade next year to get back into the first round.
Just a thought as I sit in my hotel drinking..

You should drink more often, that sounds pretty good.

Heard from someone this morning we're looking at swapping 5 for 8 and 10

Pick 5 = 1878 points

Pick 8 & Pick 10 = 2946 points

Yeah, these trade scenarios seem to be based on the theory that all clubs want what's best for Carlton.

Get real! We're not Essendon*! Nobody wants a strong Carlton!

Ineligible for Rising Star however, so probably not what we're after

I am not sure we have been in the trade room all week. I think I spotted Trigg and Co driving up and back on Collins st. Maybe they were looking for a parking spot.

Seems clubs are being difficult with us.

Might have to just go to the draft.

Has Gibbs done Carlton a disservice on the first day of this draft period?

I'm hoping he hasn't done too much damage.

This trade period was going to help set us up with a bit of depth and list improvement.

Have to say I was really keen to see us hold on to pick 5 and get use Tuohy pick for Marchbank Pickett and Stewart in Dark Navy Blue, but Stewart has just nominated Bombers on their website.

Looks like we will be watching Casboult as our main big man avenue lining for goals in 2017.

I am trying to stay calm, but cant help but think of the damage Gibbs has done to us.

I'll only be content if I see 2016 and 2017 first rounders from Adelaide.

The Gibbs trade is holding up everything. Stewart was mantioned as a maybe for us unbtil five minutes ago and now he's gone.
Not onlythe Gbbs deal has stalled, there's nothing abour Touhy OR Marchbank.
If the Gibbs deal falls through we will get done this trade year and be a cot case next season.
Silvagni said we would be significant players in the draft this year. if that's going to happen we need to get in about five players and three top twenty draft picks just to be in the 'average' category.

It really does feel as though we are being ganged up on. A collective effort between not only the media, but the other clubs to ensure we are suitably screwed over.

garbage

players are leaving the club - re gibbs 2E betts henderson

good players dont want to come-only those that struggle to get games

players, player agents, afl people all talk off line- they know whats going on at carlton and what is not going on at carlton

look at it objectively
