With the additions of Thomas, docherty and everitt, hoping
we can add a player like, Lennon/Salem or freeman with pick 13..
Pick 39, again hoping to acquire Darcy hourigan...
Not quite a key forward,191cm, but plays like one, fit in well with,
Henderson, menzel and Waite....
Reminds me of jack darling....
Pick 51 and 69, could be used on thorp and Tippett...
After the draft if we end up with,
Thomas, docherty, everitt, Lennon/Salem/freeman, hourigan, thorp and Tippett,
We have filled some holes..
Mids, mediums and keys...
My team would then be,
Simpson Jamison tuohy
Docherty Tippett everitt
Yarran Gibbs Waite
Thomas Henderson garlett
Menzel thorp walker
Kreuzer judd murphy
Anyone from; Hourigan graham
Scotland carrazzo armfield
Bell Lennon/Salem/freeman..
Just some thoughts whilst my darl watches
bachelor....

Good work. Ciaran Byrne can jump in there too.

You'll forgive me for waiting a little while with an Irish recruit. :P

Curnow is a lock. I expect them to be trying Watson through the pre-season, and probably experimenting with a way to play Kreuzer and Warnock together.

Jimmae, it's time for the Irish inclusions...Ciaran Byrne & Sheehan with the (ir) sign.

I'll add Byrne, but Sheehan hasn't joined the club...

Updated.

My turn...

(FB) Simpson Jamison Tuohy
(HB) Walker Watson Everitt
(C) Thomas Gibbs Yarran
(HF) Menzel Henderson Armfield
(FF) Garlett Waite Judd

(RR) Warnock Curnow Murphy

(IC) Kreuzer McLean Graham Bell

The main point was to keep Hendo up forward.

You can probably do that without Everitt, GINB. The cap on rotations means there will need to be positions where mids can go to rest somewhat, the prime candidates being HF, HB and the forward pocket. Tall teams just won't cut it.

I'd have Lucas ahead of Everitt - hopefully he will work hard on improving his tackling and kicking over the preseason.
At this stage I think Scotland/Robbo/Carrots would be ahead of Graham/Bell as well.

I'm hoping 2014 is the year Bell moves ahead of Robbo. If Carrots can get back to his pre-2013 form then he is certainly
ahead of Graham but I get the feeling that Scotto and Carrots are going to be bit-part players from now on.

If not Everitt then I would have McInnes (if he is back to his 2012 form) or Boots (if he can add another 10 Kg - or even 5)
maybe even that Great White Hope Sam Docherty though all I know about him was from TalkingRecruitment and that we
'needed' to get him

..i agree you can't go too tall, but if you have the right mix of mobile talls that can run [and will run] up and down the ground all game long, then you're ahead of the curve, but still no more than 2 kpps at either either end, and then it's the ruck department that makes it tricky.. ..do you go 2 rucks, or 1 ruck and a KPf that can pinch-hit in the ruck.. ..personally i prefer 2 rucks [that are mobile], because you'll get the advantage in the ruck, and usually kpf's that are tall enough to pinch-hit in the ruck often dont provide any more run that an actual ruck anyway..

In your case Doc, break means the individual might be traded rather than delisted.

I generally agree. I didn't think we'd cut that deep though!

Not sure about those that have Everitt as the third tall defender. Most teams are playing a resting ruck or a third key position forward down there now, he's much more suited to a running role as a wing/HBF than manning up on these guys.

Yep. That's where he has played his best football.

Agree but I'd add:

Yarran - needs to start fulfilling promise.

'Break' means if they can play a role like Curnow did in 2013, that's their only chance of playing in 2015. Jamison is mightily lucky the young defenders failed to develop (or the club failed to develop the young defenders).
