So let's get this straight:
Midseason, Sticks couldn't say whether Ratten would keep his job until year's end.
Then Ratten won a few games, and it was all good for Ratten.
Then Ratten lost a few games, and Sticks said that there'd be a review at the end of the year re Ratten and all other facets. Now not so good for Ratten.
Then Ratten won a few games, and it was all good for Ratten.
Then Ratten lost a game, and Sticks fired Ratts before the review.
Then Sticks intimated in the presser that Malthouse's availability kinda forced his hand on Ratten.
Then Sticks said that while he's a reluctant president, the members keep voting him in, so he has to stay on until 2014. Reluctantly, one would presume.
Then Sticks calls Ken Wood a Nazi, and we lose to St Kilda, and Mick needs to do a book tour before he can coach us.
Meanwhile, the guy who keeps the club afloat and is likely paying for Ratten's payout and Mick's payday, lives in Queensland and thinks that the board is stacked with complete idiots, and wants changes made.
While Jeannie Pratt loves Roosy, but Roosy loves his missus and won't come down and coach us.
And Nanette is crying, and Swann isn't really saying anything, which is a pity because every time Sticks says something, it comes out wrong.
And Fraser Brown is still really pissed off about Ratts, and Brown owns lots of earthmoving equipment, so you really don't want to piss him off.
Sometimes I think the least-stupid thing that the club has done this year is stick Jeffrey Edelstone in the coach's box.
Mick must really, really, really, really, really want to coach again if he's considering walking into the club that Carlton has become.
POW.
POY.
POD - because it sums up the performance of the various boards we've had over the last decade...and more.
