I agree, Carlton's god isn't as strong as the others. Time we got a new god.

I'm joking Cretylus. Unfortunately - what happens at the club is no joke. There won't be a board spill and there probably won't be a challenge as everyone would be too worried about losing Mathieson money and/or Pratt money (read Jewish money). Can the two co-exist? I'm not sure. Someone may have to fall on their sword. But who? Who has the numbers? Can one strengthen their board position over the other and if so - how is this to the betterment or detriment to the club?

Let's see what we've got - this is getting a little like 'Survivor' now...who is in whose alliance?

In the red buffs, the Mathieson Tribe.

Mark LoGiudice
Ryan Trainor
Luke Sayers
Craig Mathieson
Marcus Clarke

In the blue buffs, the Pratt Tribe.

Ruffy Geminder
Zac Fried
Ahmed Fahour
Jeanne Pratt
Adrian Gleeson

Sticks is going - but if he's one of the greatest captains we've had - he's also one of the clubs' greatest fence-sitters. He will side with anyone who has the numbers. In Survivor parlance - you don't vote Sticks out, you just keep him in your alliance. He's not going to win the million dollars, but you don't want him on the jury either. Fortunately - he's out. He doesn't get a vote.

If Greg Lee, a 9-year board member, has the deciding vote - I think he sides with the Mathieson's. That'd make it a 6-5 split. Lots of questions still to be answered. Do Lee, Gleeson and Clarke go around again? Does new blood come onto the board? Will it be a 6-6 split. Hung club? Seems appropriate.

As I said the other day - almost worth buying a membership for the AGM itself.

But if I'm to believe what I read on TC, I thought the Pratt tribe were anti-Fahour for religious and ethnic reasons ?

So much intrigue

Why oh why couldn't the third proposition be anyone else but an Elliott, it's like liberal v labor where you know you're going to get "same shit, different day" and your only other choice is like Pauline Hansen or Clive Palmer.....

Just give me a shit fight please, club needs to be shaken up. Don't care if we look amateur and get ridiculed by others, I'm sick of this club being passive

there will be no shit fight..
the club is addicted to the oligarchs and respect each others money capacity

there is no way the mathiesons will offend the pratts or visa versa...

pratts are the head of the melbourne jewish business community.(and friends)
mathiesons are the tip of the spear of the carlton non jewish tycoons.(and friends)

there is no real reason for these two groups to hate each other and they dont

but they are in a race to have ultimately supremecy of the clubs future philosophies

but they dont wanna make it run at half cylinders by pissing the other group off

both mean well.. but unfortunately... they run the club

which gets me back to that debate with MJ and the Oligarchs.
Anybody who believes this is not a club run by Oligarchs is kidding themselves

There is a rumour going around that Fahour is an independent free thinker that isn't a sycophant

I wonder how much say Fahour has had in board meetings?

ultimately fahour is a loose cannon.
if he gets in and is allowed to do what he wants.. all hell will break loose.

he would have to break down the alliances because they dont want him here
jeannie likes him and so does germinder.

but the others have all sided against him....

i think germinder and jeannie are pretending

its abit like when turkey wanted to get into the EC... greece always voted againt them... for political reasons

then the others blamed greece.. so greece thought @#$%&! u for blaming us...... and voted for turkey to gain entry.. and the others blocked turkey themselves.. shit scared 60 million muslims would be allowed to go through europe ... greece obviously wasnt the destination...uk grance and germany were.

i think theres abit of this going on.....with ahmed

they would have alot to worry about if he could get in and do what he wants /

which is why ultimately he wont be allowed... with jeannie and germider being his nice guys
