I am not sure Port will risk going all out against Freo.

If the bulldogs beat GWS, then Port wont bother.

So yeh a lot riding on this to put our season on our shoulders.

Are we game enough to be savage enough to do this ?

Losing to Saints and then qualifying via a Fremantle loss would be equal parts depressing and unbelievably stressful. Don't you @#$%&! dare, Carlton.

crazy on a couple of fronts. williams - they're totally mindful of the soft tissue injuries this year at the hands of the HP dept ... so they're mitigating in a way cfc would always go about it.

to play durdin who has a cooked ligament and is one knock from dislocating it (until offseason surgery) is wild. i could understand if he was a difference maker or a gun.

having carroll and lord on the bench when we're down a forward, seems like a miscalculation? neither those two boys would be very impactful off the ball, imo. but that's exactly where we're gonna ask them to play.

Gov on the bench isn't exactly a vote of confidence in his fitness.

Faaark, Williams wasn't even one of the 19 named on our injury report. So we've cracked 20 at last. Woo hoo!

Marchbank might’ve done himself a real mischief this time?

As if a broken neck wasn’t ‘real’ enough…

If Collingwood beat Melbourne and Gold Coast defeat Richmond (by not too much) then a St Kilda victory would see them jump 2 spots on the ladder. Probably not in the Saints best interests to win especially with FA compensation for Battle likely to be affected as well.
Anyway my only hope now is for St Kilda to play terribly like West Coast did last week. If the Saints come to play I'm afraid we are just too undermanned.

This would be an absolute win for the ages if we found a way to get this done

If McGovern withdraws I guess lemmy comes in.

That'll be 4 players with a total of 3 games experience

IMO it isnt that. Its just what we need to do! Too many times our team falters under pressure.

Last week, honestly, I thought we had no chance.

This week, bring some semblance of that effort and gameplan, we are every chance.

With the stakes as high as they are, the expectations of top 4 at the start of or soon after our good start to the season, realistically, we cannot and should not drop this game. BUT, history tells us we have failed in many situations in the past.

This week is an opportunity to get on the positive side of that ledger, and if we are fair dinkum, nothing less than a win should be acceptable!

Could still be an out on Sunday.

Yeah I'm not holding my breath on Gov.

Literally no one wants Carlton to win this game except Carlton supporters

Said it last week before WCE and will say it again. Players are proud. Lower the eyes and/or chaos ball. Sure, WCE were crap but do you remember commentators saying in the first how WCE were owning the game. We won't lose on Crippas watch.

Lyon's instinct to be a cauliflower is much stronger than his instinct to get a stronger draft position.

9 minutes to go and they’re getting off the ground for fear of lightning.

Punters are all sitting in the stands exposed but the 36 players on the ground need to be protected.

Joke of a sport.

They'll be good to go. These young blokes in there who think they play a final, something they thought they had no hope of while playing in the VFL.
