Win-Loss record
Carlton 16 - Port 21

I remember when no one had beaten Carlton more times than Carlton had beaten them. lets close the gap.

Port have won 10 of their last 11 games at Marvel. The last game they lost was to Carlton. Phew!

That old stat shits me. I was so proud of the 150 year old achievements, then the shit hit the fan and newbies Freo and Port hit their stride.

One win at a time, and the natural order will return for the Baggers :gift: ...that should give us 17-21 tonight.

Cincotta to Butters again seems the obvious move, though I wouldn’t be surprised if he starts forward on Houston.

Cowan to JHF will be a good battle, if it goes that way. Our bloke is pretty good between the ears, so the handoff with Rozee shouldn’t worry him. It’s at the stoppages (thanks, Sherlock) where we need to be most wary of that.

Think we’ll win, but I’d be more confident if I weren’t still a bit shell-shocked from the GWS game. ELEVEN goals from stoppage - and it was hardly an aberration. Yes, George will help mitigate that stat somewhat, but he almost always sets up as the sweeper & looks to go backwards from first possession. The opposition doesn’t need to win the clearance if the ball is going their way regardless.

Blues by 81.

81 point win. That's some kind of shell shock you've had to endure.

Hewett does look to go backwards, but if there's no one to give it off to, he continues his turning circle and either gets the kick away, or keeps his hands free, and stong enough to hold his ground to give off the handball. These days he can't just take the tackle after he's received given he has 0.5 sec for prior opp. I know that by the jumper he's wearing.

Many sleepless nights

Backwards by hand & red-hot umpiring is what sends the chip bowl flying.

It’s a massive night for Oli & Cottrell. Not so worried about the latter, but young Hollands can be a bit slow getting boot to ball. Cuningham off a wing has got plenty of appeal. He’s not shy about it.

Butters, JHF , Dixon, Rioli and Rozee, if two or more of these players get off the leash, we’re in hot water.

It's a fast deck and PA can play a faster game than us.
Let's hope that we learnt from last week (Voss said as much) and have to wait for half time to realise

Go Blues
