Gee, our backline is a bit brittle.
Interesting to see how we set up as there isn't a lot of mobility in the back line.... Saad gets tagged and we lose run too

Go Blues

Gee how useless has Sam Durdin been as key defender coverage? Selected for one game and quickly injured, and injured every other time we’ve needed to bring him into the seniors.

He’s a good player but just too fragile, along with Martin, Cuningham, Marchbank, and Williams.

Good he is not injured! Hope he can play his full game for the Blues tomorrow and bring his good form!

An upgrade on Marchbank at the moment.

I thought Durdin was ruled out through injury? Or just less injured than Marchbank?

Move them both on at season's end and trade for the best KPD we can get.

Durdin is currently more mobile than Marchbank

I but concerning that it’s now McGovern, Kemp, Boyd all out. That’s a pretty big chunk of our regular backline

Durdin gives us a bit more height in the backline which I think we need. Wouldn’t mind seeing him try to lock down Larkey so Weiters can play more of an interceptor role

I would err on the side of caution with Gov. I have little faith in Marchbank these days, but I've always said his first week back after an outage is always terrible. Since this time it appears he may be fit two weeks in a row, I'd give him one last chance. But I also wouldn't cry if they gave S.Durdin a go. Tbh I know very little about NM's attack aside from Larkey, do we need two talls? (Phone autocorrected to "balls")

Marchbank is done. I think he will want to have a real crack at getting on the park and hitting some form this season to get a shot at a finals spot but I genuinely think he'll give it away at seasons end.

Really feel for the bloke, he's had zero luck his whole career and it really must mess with your mind to be constantly in rehab.

Marchbank's got the flu hasn't he? I'm as big a catastrophist for a man flu as the next bloke, but we're not deciding his career over this are we?

Next week Gov should be back and the window will slam shut again.

Yeah I guess they could, though I'm hoping Kemp will redeem himself with a solid rezzie game. I'd rather he play his way back in than have us rely on the Brittle Boys.

I doubt Kemp will play VFL tomorrow, he’s the most likely to be held out as emergency.

hoping we build 4-5 % points today and the swans slam lions. but it's at the gabba, so probably not.

brisbane looming large, it'd be great to be a game and a half ahead of them in 2nd. road trips to scg or gabba in first round would be stuff of mares for us.
