Sam Pang is ok.

Having said that the Pies are not easy beats. 5.5 games ahead of us they’ve been extremely consistent (and lucky…..you make your own luck as the saying goes). Opposing teams have not been able to execute a game plan to counter them.

Geez WTF was that 8 out of 9 run of losses anyways. Surely we could have scrapped 2-3 wins in that run. We would’ve been entrenched in the top 4

We must not let up in the intensity and conviction in the remaining 4 games.
The loss to the Dogs is the one that kills me

Youve got to know when to hold em, no when to fold them.

TDK was KPF for most of the time. He took the 2nd KPD away from Charlie me thinks

I'll never understand why we resigned pittonet for that long.

Coz he was cheap, and we can using him when we need him. Simple.

I thought that was Motlops best game.
Only 2 goals but his tackling pressure was sensational.
The entire small forward line has been the game changer.
Martin Fog Cunningham Owies and now Motlop not letting it out and pushing up the ground.

Completely agree.
That was Motlop's best game.
I also dropped off Fog 2 years ago.
But as a group, FMD, they were impressive big time, and in the forwardline when we needed them.

We are winning teriitory and giving those forwards reason to be in the forward line.
Confidence. You can't buy it.

Not long home from the game.
Wow, I was not expecting that.
What a great effort and is so good to beat those smug Pies.
Only downer is Cerra, hope he is ok.
You just have to love Charlie. Weitering and Newman were fantastic.
Loved the goal from McGovern in the first quarter.
It was by birthday so this was a lovely present.
Go blues.

Happy Birthday Kezza
Sure was.

Great to see them lose after celebrating early like Elliott after he took that hanger.

Daicos Incorporated turned it over when the game was there to be won.

Marchbank's disposal was scary on the last line.

Twice in the last.
But 2 of his passes earlier on were sublime.
He's missed a lot of footy.
Point is, he's back putting pressure on spots..

Marchbank has always had questionable disposal. No issue if he follows the Glenn Manton rule of handballing it off to the better kicks.

Dow had an impact, but he didn't use it well and just kicked it forward blindly.

Don't agree. That's your opinion, and a few others....let me explain

His kicking is a weapon.

The Collingwood game a few years back, in his comeback game, he also had his neck broken from a hit (people add that act of bravery as injury prone FMD) I digress, he made the decision to kick long (which was the right decision, albeit risky, and was intercepted because Carlton player disnt run in to meet the ball, is the thing etched in minds because we lost the game by 3 goals, imo. People choose to define him by that kick. Shits me, so I defend him. Other than that, he's a very good kick and a very good mark and he can run, and is selected when fit. That's my defense of him.

Last nights smother is rustiness. The floater that was intercepted was pace of the game. Listen to your captain. Its good to have Marchy back. Just hope he finds his groove really soon.

Peeps wrote off Martin and Cuningham, with their excuses, but hey, when you look closely, you see their real value. Some dont see trees for wood. That's what I reckon. I know you reckon I'm wrong. We will see.

We are getting the band back together again.

Who are the injury prone players again? The one's who cost us heaps and are taking up list spots????

Martin, Gov, Cuningham, Marchbank, Hewett, and ofcourse Williams. Easy to write off players.
If we are delisting or trading any of the above, our list is in great shape.

Three of those, along with SOS have not been offered a contract for 2024.

They will know their fate. The potential and class is there but.....but lets see if the club has any more patience.

Kennedy was written off, so was LOB and they were given a lifeline, and both came good. LOB, for a season till better players past him.

That was the start of the resurgence of our arrogance.
Absolute highlight.
Right in the face, along the fence at the Pies Cheersquad.
Loved it.

Took some crucial marks (7) and knew where to run to. Take him over Young any day.

Everyday of the week

Glad to have him back running and getting accustomed to the pace 6 weeks before the finals.

The amount of deprecation coming from filth fans and the media about this win is really irritating me. The umpires gifted us. Carlton playing for their lives whilst the filth had nothing to play for. They had a drop off after the top of the table clash last week. A virus went through the club

@#$%&! off. These are the flag favourites with a full side bar Bobby Hill playing against a side with half a dozen of their best 22 out. 1 off for the second half and the captain on one leg. This win should be celebrated by all and sundry

Fk em

Jealousy is a curse.

Let them deceive themselves.

We've been in a position to beat them the last 4 meetings. Got 'em early this time.

6 goal leads are hard biz to overcome, and that miss at the end by Martin shoulda made it 22 but it didnt matter to give it his best.

Martin.

if he was cheap then it’s all good. hope we didn’t pay overs for him.

also i think it gave TDK less leverage in his negotiations with us, may have factored into it.

there’s a young Adelaide ruck who’s studying medicine who you’d think would appreciate an appartement in parkville or brunswick and having his training on Royal Pde across the road from the major CBD hospitals and a five minute bike ride from melbourne uni.

a few of them were giving it to Maynard and the other trogs on the field. loved it.

some filth players we’re grinning every time they got a touch on the first quarter eg Markov who was very impressed with his own spoil over the boundary and Elliot loving his two disposals in the first half (well done Gov). the smirks were gone by half time and the war room midfield conference faces appeared. problem is it’s probably a wake up call for them, but wouldn’t have it any other way. they’ve been warned.

If Marchbank survives, it will be at the expense of Kemp or Boyd who is a lock to come back in. No worries if this occurs. No need to mansplain it for me and talk about other players who I've defended.
