It’s great that Doc & Saad are back…..assuming they are actually fit to play.

Would have dropped/rested E Curnow before Kennedy.

And I reckon Kennedy has been playing better than Hewitt & SOJ.

Anyway.

I don't.

I really don't get all the Hewett bagging.
Its almost on the verge of mass hysteria.

He's been playing miles better than Kennedy imo.
Kennedy looked really slow last 2 games. I mean really slow.
Hewett has been better than Cripps and ed imo, and ed has played his role.

At some stage we have to believe the MC know what they are doing, and we aren't privy to that information.

Well, I think we can still have an opinion. It’s only when people express opinions as facts that I get annoyed.

Opinions are fine, and all I did was give you my opinion.

I will say it again, at some stage we have to believe the MC know what they are doing. Yeah? Nah?

With Kemp in are we going to use Young as second ruck? I noticed he did it a few times last week

Weitering on Allen. Kemp on Darling. WCE don't have a tall backline
Ed Curnow to tag Kelly

B: Cincotta Weitering Kemp
HB: Docherty McGovern Saad
C: Acres Cripps Walsh
HF: Curnow McKay Fisher
F: Silvagni Charlie Durdin
Foll: Pittonet Hewett Cerra
Int: Young Newman Honey Hollands (Kennedy)

That's how I think we will line up. It's a much improved side with Docherty & Saad back

Young did play Ruck and did well . I reckon he is a natural in there . Our version of Mark Blicavs .

If Saad and Doc get through this unscathed I promise to remove two pins from my Andrew Russell doll.

We are a big club
Lots of people follow Carlton
Some will be happy with selections and elections and others will be unhappy.

Lets hope there's a huge turn out of Bluebaggers at Optus Stadium.
There's a good chance half of the WCE members wont turn up.
There's lots of people who follow Carlton in the West.
This could be a beautiful backdrop of huge support: the 19th man.
Rarely happens in the West.

Its a good team for this week.

Ive been hanging out for Sam Durdin to make it to release Young into the ruck.

So glad the MC back Kemp to show his intercepting game in the big league. This enables Young to the ruck, and one of Pittonet or TDK out.
If Kempy goes well, and the midfield will help that happen this week, Young will have a stint as a 3rd, or 2nd Forward. Release Charlie to play a Cameron role. Lets see his fitness.

The thing about Young is he is KP and ruck size. Still learning the game, and surprisingly one of the fastest at the club. He's the best ruck I've seen since Kreuzer. He answers the 3rd tall fwd/ruck question and helps the speed issue.

This could be a blessing. If it works out there's pressure on SOS' spot and pressures TDK to take the Number 1 ruck role from Pittonet or go where he wants for the right price.

Pressure on spots will lift this team. Starts this week against weaker opposition. Lets hope they click.

I’m guessing-

B: Newman Young McGovern
HB: Saad Weitering Cincotta
C: Acres Cripps Hollands
HF: Walsh Harry E.Curnow
F: C.Durdin Charlie Honey

R: Pittonet Hewitt Cerra

Inter: Docherty, Fisher, Kemp, Silvagni.
Sub: Kennedy.

Doc to play midfield, Kemp 7th defender and Silvagni 2nd ruck.

I wonder what role Acres will play with wings being taken by Hollands and Walsh ?

I hate losing Walsh from HF chasing ball and linking.
Ed on the other HF tagging a HB.
Gives us no presence at HF.
So I like Walsh as a wingman. He's ther best at everything.

I'm sure the MC will take advantage of Acres motor and he wont see much pine.

Worrying stat I heard today
Our midfielders of Kennedy Cerra Hewett Acres Cripps have only kicked the ball 3 times into the forward 50 where it has resulted in a mark and goal.

So would I. I have the feeling Kennedy will play anyway. Can't see both Docherty and Saad playing this week.

I assume that’s why TDK isn’t playing. Jack isn’t a ruck and we lose a lot when goes in there. Also tires him for playing forward

Other thing is Jack can go back if needed

Young did play Ruck in a Grand Final so it’s not foreign to him

Mate Young has rucked for us before too.
Pittonet played 84% game time last week. His engine has improved.
WCE have only one ruck, and he's a good one, Bailey Williams, and Pitto can wear him down.
Leaves Young to give Pitto the chop out and dominate the young ruck. Freeing up SOS.

Who knows, the MC may be trialling this and at some stage decide to play Young back again.
We need flexibility, to make moves when we need to.

May the best tall win.

Yeah that's an interesting one.

Youre probably on the money.
Fogs been on the outer for a long time.
Nice to have him as an emergency if not sub.
I do expect Kennedy to be sub.
TDK is dropped, not managed.
