I think we'd all rather Kennedy ahead of Polson, but in reality he needs to string some footy together first

Definitely.
And some have complained about our lack of speed and pressure forward so adding both JSOS and Kennedy won't help that, eve with Cas and Lobbe out.

That's what it looks like.

Given the speed of ball movement was the key last night with port and the Drug cheats wins, its a good idea to find speed where we can. Not too fast, not too slow, but gosh it would be good to see we are capable of fast ball movement.

Hope Jack shows the world he belongs and the preseason form wasn't just parked away after the preseason. Ball is in his court today.

Pressure for spots will be coming from Kennedy, Garlett, Fasolo nd Stocker, and the start of their road for senior selection: Macreadie and Williamson.

I feel things are starting to get going and the players will be breathing fire against the Doggies.

Go Blues

Put Gibbons in the middle for a spell, at least.

I sense an upset...

Yep. Gonna leave that all ambiguous so I get to be right either way.

We used to play Daisy forward in his early days with us and he couldn't kick 40 metres for goal and often even refused to kick for goal, it was a bit of a laughing stock.

He has improved quite a lot since his start with us so it may be worth another shot.

That may have been related to his ankle issues when he first came to the club

I'd happily like to see him in that 20-40m concentric area directing traffic and sneaking away from his defender...and also, he would be ideal for applying pressure around contests in fwd 50 (too slow one on one with rebounding defenders though)

I'd be happy with Daisy in forward pocket where he can see they play ahead and direct forwards where to position and is smart enough in sharking the lose ball front and centre.

Casboult and Schumacher the emergencies not playing VFL today. Just read on Twitter that Charlie didn't do much training at all today.

If C. Curnow doesn't come up, I'd rather play Schumacher than Casboult I think. A forward-line focussed on McKay with Silvagni and McGovern as the secondary talls could work.

I’m guessing they’ll use Silvagni in the centre to cover for Setterfield

Win and we jump over Norf and Deets. Imagine the pressure release.

If this week’s events can’t focus and motivate our players, I don’t know what else to say.

They've been playing with effort and motivation. If they can retain the effort, a win won't be far away.
I doubt other clubs results will even enter their minds.

Let's hope wee can kick straight and take advantage of our opportunities. Neither of todays winners had more scoring shots than their opposition despite having strong wins. It shows the value of taking your chances.

Should be playing for back-to-back wins.

Polson has played 4 senior games this year (2 JLT and 2 AFL) and Kennedy has played zero senior games and limped off the ground hurt for the Northern Blues.

Navy Blue Horse’s logic works for me
