Anyone know why Ellard has pulled out?

Perhaps he read TC and figured there was no point turning up.... :donk:

Nah, he was making a statement...... to Jimmae.

As long as all these sentiments are remembered if we lose by a big margin.

As long as we don't abandon the shorter-kicking style it's a team that can grind a win. Gotta be Whiley as sub though you'd think.

That is something to smile about.

I am hoping that by the end of the year we will see Jaksch, Byrne, Docherty, Walsh, Menzel, DVR and maybe 1 or 2 others in the side with them. Not about score results but about development combined with effort and game style.

Forget about their current win/loss, but the NB's are a pretty handy unit now and it's been their young midfield that has primarily driven that. I have faith that all our young mids can offer plenty at AFL level, certainly Nicky G and Holman haven't looked out of place in the past few weeks.

Graham will probably spend more time forward this week as he's good around goals - certainly better than Ellard.

Whiley to be sub for either BB or Holman later in the game, I like it.

You're probably right but I hope not. I am against kids as subs. Achieves nothing.

He's a late inclusion so it makes sense to have him feature the least.

How many injuries do we need before Jaksch pushes for selection. Thought White was okay as a grunt midfielder/ spare parts man early on. Surely Jaksch is up to a spot in defence in a side at our level

He needs some form behind him to get a game. Basic pre-requisite to play post MM.

Think it will be a shootout. Whoever takes their chances will win.

Simmo taking the day off from a touch session is hardly a surprise given how much he gets knocked around and runs in a game.

We played the dogs at Etihad with a very young side a couple of years ago & won, if memory serves.
