oh, sorry cimm,
forgot to mention S.D
would he be good?
why?

Two flags as a player under pretty hard but creative coaches in Chocco and Clarkson.

1 flag as an assistant in what is (IMO) the hardest working outfit in the country up in Sydney and he's the senior assistant up there now so 5 years in the game. In an environment were he's not just a yes man, like Neeld and McKenna.

And if you believe in luck, he's had plenty. We could do with some.

He doesn't strike me a Neeld, seems to know his shit, doesn't waffle.

So, smart, hard and lucky.

No idea if he's the man or not, just like what I've seen on the telly.

the classic stalling tactics by mark talking about 66 games rebuild.. is what does he expect will happen in 2 drafts???

with a bunch of players that will be finishing up indside of those 66 games... i wanna know what the 66 game rebuild actually means as far as where were going to be???

66 games means @#$%&! all really....
because we will lose jamo judd carrazzo simmo and possibly walkz and pplayers will be around 30 yo...players like murphy and gibbs approaching....

so where will 2 drafts take us in the line of that??

this is what shits me about trigg and juicy ... theyre so full of shit... why talk with meanigless timeframe????
just another string along......

maybe jimmae can shed some light??.. he seems to be the translator for this incoherent board around here..

I think that figure is just a measuring stick for a legitimate finals challenge; the work was already under way with the age demographics and initial list management builds. If we're not seeing the imprint of this in 12 months time then it will likely be a failure.

I remember meeting MLG not long after he took over...had a brief chat...wished him luck...to which he replied...'thanks...we're gonna need it...'

I'd be looking at Cripps, Menzel, Jaksch and Docherty to be leading them. 3-5 years in the system by then and should be seen as leaders of the club.

I wonder if this is the plan they described to Gibbs when he asked before signing on.

Well, there seems no alternate high quality board team anywhere. So, is it all about sitting back and hoping for the best?

Gibbs is signed until end of 2019 & this rebuild is meant to be over by end of 2017/start of 2018.....maybe Gibbs was told 2018 is when we plan to be challenging again?

Or maybe they had absolutely no idea so they just told Gibbs whatever they thought he wanted to hear!

That's always the likely scenario 2nd.

I'm just trying to convince myself gibbs is off limits.

He'd be off limits because we stitched him (and ourselves) up on a massive deal for 5 years.

According to this article, he said last year that we could win a premiership within that 5 years:

..not sold on menzel's leadership, I think he's already picking up the bad traits.. ..kj I don't know enough about wgarding leadership, we will wait and see.. ..doc and crisps I think are Natural leaders so should be able to not fall for the crap culture habits.. ..and DT will help but he needs to be playing, ditto krooz.. ..but they're no good on the sidelines..
