I know. He has absolutely dominated so far for STK.

Agreed. I'll clarify, by peak value I am taking into account now and into the future. Ie they will not increase in value. I'm not considering their previous worth. Whether some blokes should've been traded a few years ago is a separate issue.

I think Buckley and Tuohy can definitely increase in value; Walker is a more risky proposition, but he's done all the right things.

We've already cleared out the list, there's really no point removing any senior players that don't want to go unless we get a massive offer for them. Most of them currently aren't valued high enough to bother with a trade.

Time to get over it. That was 12 years ago.

To get Jaksch Whiley & then Goddard for pick 7 would of been a big positive.

I'm genuinely curious, if goddard is so good why did he slide to the second rd?

Had a bad National Champs when hyped up. Apparently carried an injury. Is a key position player who takes time and most clubs ahead wanted mids. It was also a deep draft until about 25. Sometimes it's just how the cards fall but I have no doubt he will be a very good player. Can play CHF or CHB. Would of been a good foil for Jaksch.

One selection I simply don't understand is signing Mathew Dick. Very average player and another poor decision maker. Signed as a delisted free agent. How many years? Two. Bloody Hell.

Was Dick signed on a two-year deal? I'm yet to see his contract details anywhere. Would have come on a minimum contract, and may have only signed for one year.

Goddard is a slow KPD; he has size going for him and is reasonably talented in sourcing and disposing the football but he was a peg below the first tier of talls in the pool. Highly rated early on by the media who get all hot and bothered about TAC form without paying attention to all the other competitions.

Rebuild time. :smoking:

Up for Trade:

Henderson, Gibbs, Murphy, Kruezer, Walker, Yarran, Jamison, Tuohy, Thomas (target minimum 3 more picks inside top 20)

Delist:

Watson, Dick, Wood, Casboult, Warnock, Johnson, Giles (rookie), Ellard, Curnow, Armfield

Retire:

Judd, Carrazzo

We need picks, picks and picks and then pick best available. No more speculative BS.

How many outgoings would you like total?

Because that reads like 12+ on the senior list.

I hope so. We have 3 years to turn over the entire list.

Just out of curiosity, who would you have ruck for us?

Actually, who would you have play CHF if you traded Henderson and delisted Casboult? Who would play fullback if you traded Jamison? Just throw some 18year olds to the wolves ala Livingston and Thornton I suppose.

I'd chase a tough young ruck from another club (Lycett/Nichols ?) and a mature rookie.

As for key position they won't all go at once but I don't care if they do, what we have is average anyway.

It's going to be a tough few years but it's the only way. Just need to get the picks right.

I know it's a bit hard to envisage but the bonus is Hughes & Rogers are now gone. Hopefully SOS can make the right choices and build a Premiership List.

Take murphy
Take watto and wood.
If a player thinks they can play in a GF elsewhere..let them go.

if i were a player in my mid 20s and up playing for Carlton.. id be fielding offers...

This club holds no future for them

Players play to reach the pinnacle... that wont be crystalised at Carlton.

If i were Henderson id be looking elsewhere....
