Not sure on the stats, but this is probably the youngest/most inexperienced teams we've named for a long time. 11 players under 50 games. With Cripps a possible inclusion to make it potentially 12.

I'm not expecting a win but I'm looking forward to seeing the same effort and commitment from the last month.

But don't expect us to get any credit for playing kids

Funny you say that, Jon Ralph of all people was praising Mick for being patient in bringing the kids in this year. He said he was highly critical of Mick earlier in the year for not bringing them in, but admits because Mick has waited they have all come in and not looked overawed etc.

Poor guy mustn't have been feeling very well.

Meanwhile, we have David King trying to trade Lachie Henderson because we are in a rebuild. True story.

Trade Lachie? I can find no rationale where that makes any sense. Unless Melb gave us picks 2 & 3.

He did say trade Lachie for pick 5. But at the same time said to use it to draft a forward. Where's the benefit in that? Trade a proven KPF and leader for a unproven kid?

He wanted Collingwood to trade Ben Reid for pick 19 and WCE to trade McKenzie for pick 5 as well.

And St Kilda to trade pick 1 for Patton (despite his second knee reco).

IMO everyone should be tradeable. Been one of biggest problems. Buy high sell low.

How David King has earned the title of Football Analyst has me baffled.

I would happily trade Lachie on this year's form/effort.

If I felt he could get back to pre-2014 form then I'd want to keep him

Maybe David King is a Football Anal-ist as he talks out of his arse.

He's been injured for about half the year, missed pre-season.

Playing in a side trying to figure out what type of game they want to play.

He is vital.

I think he'd be the first to admit forgetting injuries, his effort has been poor this year

I don't disagree, but obviously we need to be strategic about it. Hendo is young enough to be still in his prime when (if) we get our act together and pushing for contention. Coupled with his leadership skills and our lack of KP alternatives, it would take a ridiculously good offer to even consider trading him.

Robbo is an example of a player I would trade if we could get something decent in return. I don't think he'll have a long career. Unfortunately his recent issues might mean his current trade currency is too low to make it the right time to sell. He might be worth more on the market in 12 months?

Agree abns. Unfortunately our recent strategy has looked like guess work without any actual plan.

Robbo should go as for Hendo I'd trade him but it would want to be one heck of a deal.

Hendo is a quality player - and flexible which MM likes. Doubt he would go. Geelong would love him back though. They have some retiring backmen creating holes in their defence in the coming year or two

Matthew Watson was training today on Adelaide Oval.

Radio reporting that Menzel unlikely to play.
Hardly surprising.
