Why was Gibbs so quiet? Heavy tag?

Injured. Wasn't expected to play.

Thanks. Thought Jones may have clamped him.

Jones didn't play. Weller did tag him though.

Why does everyone owe you an explanation for everything?

Lets talk Albert Proud as well.. whats your argument???

Ill accommodate you as well.... its not like i cant....

One thing i do is chew and spit out simpletons at a rate of knots....

Whoa Synbad, on the angry pills again. You seem to take everything soooooo seriously and go troppo when anyone dares to disagree with your assessment of everything. Have you ever thought about a self imposed limit on numbers of posts and length of posts. Say what you want to say succinctly and then post instead of just ranting. What's with the "One thing i do is chew and spit out simpletons at a rate of knots", I am not sure that your posts indicate an especially high intellect.

^^this is an excellent point.

I would also like to know the details of other clubs the AFL is propping up.

It appears to me that the AFL has certain "project clubs" that they don't want to be down the ladder too long.

Carlton is not one of these clubs that the AFL is concerned about, either is Richmond due I presume by their larger supporter base.. How long this supporter base sticks around is the big question. They couldn't give a stuff (it appears by the financial dealings) whether Carlton is coming 10th, 5th or 12th.

North Melbourne is the latest "project" club for the AFL. At the end of this year Carlton will be footing the wage bill of certain clubs- probably including North as they aren't paying 100% of the salary cap.

The AFL has done their magic on Port, after North it will be Melbourne. Melbourne's "tanking" fine was pretty much paid once the AFL gave out extra assistance to Melbourne. What was the point of fining them then?

The fact is that Carlton has spent just as much time down the bottom half of the ladder as either Melbourne or North Melbourne - yet don't get any of the goodies that these other clubs get. So when Melbourne and North shoot up the ladder due to AFL assistance isn't this an artificial rise at the expense of the clubs that don't get all the AFL goodies?

This article indicates Melbourne might get some "assistance" in the draft. We will wait and see what goodies they get from the AFL.

i dont care how old he is he can take a big grab up forward

and???

because you havent seen anyone take a mark for us .. that gets u excited????

how does his marking impact on the scoreboard and translate into helping us win on a weekly basis?

he is what is known as a 'deflator'

massive shortcomings like so many others on our list
the guy who can run but cant tackle
the guy who can tackle but cant kick
the guy that can kick but cant find the ball
he guy that can find the ball but cant use it to advantage
THE GUY THAT CAN TAKE A MARK BUT CANT KICK

remember... StKilda is your yardstick.

Casboult needs to play with impact all weeks
at the moment he is a one in five...

4 good ones for a season...

That doesnt help us.... sorry...

yep u will eat ya words in 12 months when he not only has a better motor with another pre-season but improves the kicking
