Still can't believe Judd could keep up for that long.

What the @#$%&! have the rest of these guys been doing?

I would give Dr Strangelove 2 out of 10.

Of course you would.

He's obviously done something wrong to you or your family because your lack of objectivity regarding MM has reached unprecedented levels.

Think he must have done something similar to redbacks family.

Absolutely ... my Carlton family.

If only we had a Clarkson or a Hinkley ... or just about anyone who can teach players to play as a team.

Unfortunately ... we are stuck. I reckon we have been put back at least another 7 years ... I am starting to get old and wonder if I will ever see another premiership.

Given we wont get Clarkson or Hinkley who would you suggest is attainable?

Would Stuart Dew be ok? Could we sign him up for 2015 with a the view of taking over from MM?

Or do we go through an exhaustive coaching interview process again? cough cough

imo ... consistent, would mean week in week out.

The last 6 weeks, we've still lost to poor teams, but our intent cannot be questioned. Last season we'd play lights out, see the tigers elim final, and then the following week put on a clinic or cringeworthy and embarrassing football.

In the end we are a long way from where we need to be, a long long way and when you have a poor list you have inconsistencies no matter who the coach.

We all agree the club is a mess. Why do we then expect instant success?

I have no doubt we are effectively starting again. There is little talent coming through but we are competitive. People judging a coach on our current state are delusional. Judge the coaching staff, fitness staff etc after they have a decent period. It will take 2-3 years of very good recruiting, coaching, development etc before we can truly judge.

The effort was from the players was the only reason we got half close.

Once side was extremely well drilled ... unfortunately the Blues are learning very little about team co-ordination.

It does not take a lot of talent for players to back one another up ... to have several options to handpass the ball to ... to move the ball quickly ... to cover your opponent in defense (not just chase the ball ... so you end up with 3 players on 1 and 2 players left free in the open).

Yep ... its a sad state of affairs ... and nothing can be done because Tricky Micky is locked in.

We just have to watch and wait ... as we tumble further down the ladder.

Dennis Pagan ... eat your heart out.

  ROFLMFAO

Good work from Robbo on Hodge too. I`m all for matching their sniping cheap shots (just have to master sliding in with the knees) At least its in the back of their minds now that we can do it too.

+1

I'll take losing as we're simply not the better side on the park on the day over losing because we weren't mentally switched on/got too far ahead of ourselves/scared out of the contest every day of the week.

We're not that far off, and full credit has to go to Mick for that. I reckon we're about two mids and a replacement for Waite away from being back amongst it. It's the little things that are amounting week by week that have been absent from this club for the last 12 years. Players priding themselves on the one percenters, players thinking about the greater game around them, smarter ball use, smarter positioning on field (no one typifies this more than Yarran at the moment, who I reckon has now become our most important player), playing for their teammates.

Regardless of the scoreboard, I've enjoyed going to the footy this year a lot more as problems are those that can be addressed with realistic tools that a football club have at their disposal, rather than football coaches playing amateur psychologist to prepare for a game of football.

@#$%&! Watson though....

yep, he could be slow, or he could be un-agile, or he might decide he's going to be the most un-urgent player in our entire illustrious history.

the world's his oyster.

Well I am delusional.
We're a game off the bottom, we are having our worst season since Pagan was coach when we really did have a diabolical list. I just can't fathom why, no matter how bad we go, MM gets no heat. He has an impressive track record, but so did Pagan, so does Ron Barrassi. MM came here on huge money talking flags as were the committee. If he didn't bother to find out anything about our list before he was appointed how did he get the job? If he didn't think we were a final 8 prospect, let alone a flag chance, why say we are. And don't tell me it is all about marketing. Marketing to who? We can't even get 50k members and I have rarely seen a coach who cares less about projecting an image of the club than MM, if he did he would try not to be a churlish teenager whenever he gets asked a question. We don't have premiership talent but we have top 8 - 10 talent, yet no matter what happens it is all the list. Being coach has to be the easiest job on earth when no loss is sheeted home to you.

I didn't think Ratts should have been appointed, but if he'd served his contract we would now have Roos as coach, and have saved ourselves a few mill in payouts, and the players would look like they had a plan they were committed to, and the coach would be an intelligent, articulate leader who wasn't driven by bitterness. We'd be a club I liked a lot more than I do currently.

Roos didn't want to come to carlton, was our first choice and was approached. The crap about saving money is also incorrect as isn't Roos on 2mil?
You can stroke yourself yourself about Roos and hinkley but have a look at their early draft picks
Malthouse also isn't taking the money and running after 2 years and a few wins over juddless carlton and a watsonless asada weakened Essendon*

..I do like roos, but not wanting to stay head coach for more than three years would have pissed me off if he came to us.. ..longtime crap clubs need a steady guiding hand for longer than three years..

If David Rhys-Jones was "The Hyphen" should we now call Roo's (sic) "The Apostrophe"?

I wish Mick would take the money and run....but then why would he leave when nothing is his fault or his responsibility.

Roos didn't want to coach anywhere in 2012 when we approached him but was open to coaching in 2013. And I am looking at Melbourne's early draft picks and I am not seeing much
