Stupid decision
But Carazzo and McLean can lead the way instead.
They are both much better players than Judd- everyone knows this. Carazzo once won a best and fairest back in 2007 and McLean came 2nd in Melbourne's B&F of 2008. They are the future. Geelong will be scared to know how to match up against Carazzo and McLean. Who to match up? Geelong will be quaking in their boots obviously.

Agree.
His first minute for 3 possessions against the Doggies showed his standing in the game let alone in the Carlton team circa 2014.
I'm joining this queue! Sorry to disappoint you 2 but I feel the same.

Quick question for all of you: when was the last time Judd missed this much football in an AFL season?
Answer: never. After consultation with the medicos, he's starting in the VFL. Guess he's human after all.

who do you believe should come in ?
just get along to the bullants on the weekend.
Why not give one of Graham, Holman or Johnson a run. And don't tell me there not bloody ready.
From memory everyone including you said Buckley wasn't ready and didn't have good form in the two's.
They couldn't be any worse than some of the players last week.
I said that about Buckley. I can see a spot for Graham if other players fall away but the areas with which we are decimated by injury & bad recruitment are pretty much bare right now.
We won't go like for like if we lost a tall, for example. We'll get Everitt and Walker to plug the holes and bring in a small. Temay wouldn't come in for Garlett despite being the next bloke on the small forward depth chart; we'd rejig the midfield or defensive unit and bring another small in.
Casboult will be dropped when Kreuzer is ready to return; if not him, then Waite. That's good for the footy club when it happens. There's pressure on some other spots on the ground but the margins are so small that once you factor in the senior players capabilities now and what they'll be when they're properly match fit, the youngster falls to the wayside pretty significantly.
The VFL side is not so threadbare that it can't showcase talent when talent is on show. A few of these kids just need to dig deep and show they have what it takes without dismantling the team game at that level. That'll get them into the AFL side if someone's not playing to the standard required. Last week's lost was a little about under estimating the opposition (bad), a little bit about not adapting on the field to the tactics employed by Brisbane (tactics the players had seen before and did not identify and shut down in the first quarter; bad), and then the fitness levels of some returning players hurt us in the last quarter (a risk, and not one that would have been eliminated by the next tier of players in the squad save for maybe Lucas).
