Football teams play for incentives. Mark RollTheDice took that away from the club at the end of round 2.
The board was saying one thing and then come round two they said something different.
What people need to understand that a board provides direction. This club is a cornered mouse and it doesn't know which way to run.

Players coaches etc are all now doing the predictable thing.. Self preservation mode.
Everybody knows they're all on all the auction block come end of year.

This is not about Mick..
Huge mistake at the time another poor decision by a guy that is also in self preservation... Mark 'RollTheDice'.. More knee jerk behavior..
Terrible club..

I'll write more about what's going on later.
Club is in terrible strife financially
All predictable.. It's what happens when you're clueless..

Who's the next white knight?

This club lost its soul many years ago and we are seeing the slow demise. We just cant seem to embrace best practice and linger from one @#$%&! up to the next

Heartbreaking

Has anybody put a call in to Roman Obramovich? I don't think we've had a Russian Oligarch yet, let's try that! We would be a rounding error for his operation.

Club can't do it with its supporters only oligarchs can save this club...
Supporters just get in the way of true RollTheDice greatness.
No plan..
Before the season started out was buoyant.
2 weeks in they put a line through 2015 lol
Not round 16... Round 2
More on that later...

It's hilarious.. But it's created the biggest laughing stock in Australian sporting history...

What has transpired can not even be put in a comedy sketch.
The club has no credibility with anybody going forward...
The tone is set at the top...

What happens on the football field is the crystallization of what you have been doing away from the football field

Thirty five years after their last flag Richmond will sack their next coach after another false dawn.
Any idea why a squillion coaches can't get them up over thirty five years?

No chance of a rival ticket. Boys from the big end of town don't get into shitfights.
Now you also need to understand that nobody is immune from the toxicity of the powerbrokers at this club.
Everybody is touched by either pratts Elliotts or mahiesons.
You actually need do sideline them and make them promise that they won't promote any aspirants or bring them down.
That they will only throw their support behind whoever the people choose. ( won't happen)
You need a complete outsider to come in.. A genuine clearskn. ..example Jeff kennett.. Who is not immersed in the club culture and understands how to build things.

Any president board member will have been screened by people from within the cancer.

Grrrrr at Richmond it's a culture of mediocrity.

Nobody should been allowed or seek a position on this board... This board needs to be starved of oxygen .

There is no way they will completely move away.. They will always have their puppets.

Eradication from top to bottom...
And then isolated...

And a clearskin must emerge

Such a weird vanity project are football clubs.

Contrast the amount of money poured into both major Australian political parties over the last twenty years by the Pratts and Mathiesons, and yet not a single safe seat demanded for the family in return. Plenty of candidates in the back pocket along the way.

Yet barely ten percent of that into Carlton and everyone jostles for the glory and adoration that never comes. No objectivity when it comes to vanity projects or do they just see footy clubs as the exploitable devices they really are?

Having a think about this over the weekend, as commendable as it may be for Trigg to have done this, seriously, we are paying the bloke north of $300K to call up irate members ???

FFS, with the list of things wrong at this club, his to do list on a Monday was "call Joe Bloggs, member".

To me, this what is so damn wrong with this club. A bloke paid big bucks to run the club is getting bogged down in petty detail ?

Its taken me a few years but I'm firmly on Synners page here. Nothing will be achieved at this club because we just keep re-arrangiung the deck chairs. The Prez has been on the board since 2010. What they hell have we achieved in that time? What decision/governance can he point to that has been in anyway beneficial to the club in his 5 years??? And he was the best candidate ????

As Synners says, the on field performance is the reflection of the malaise off field. I have complete despair that we are going nowhere and slowly. That what we are seeing now is going to be our future for 5, 10 15 years. I'm done listening to them, I'm done hearing how they are going to do this or that. And if withdrawing my support hurts the club I love, well then so be it because theres no other way I can get across to the club how I feel.

Sacking Mick would simply be yet again us taking the easy way out. We are the new Richmond.

The prez has to go. Can't make decisions in the best interest of the club. At least sticks made a decision in the best interest of the club and brought mick in to take us to a flag. Yeah it back fired, but at least he had the balls to make the decision.

This prez is an fwit. Comes out strong saying malthouse will be safe until end of year. A few more bad gate attendances and he will have to pull the trigger. Our schedule just gets harder from here . just such a stupid statement. Has he got his ass stuck so far up mm's ass or what. Come out and say you are at least not extending his contract.

What l hate most out of all this crap is l am starting to lose the love for the club. In the pagan yrs At least we had direction, at least we knew we were tanking, at least we could enjoy watching the young players develop. In this climate we have a mofo running the club in the ground and the board dont have the balls to stop the rot. flower disgraceful. How bad do the players have to play to get rid of their coach.

Someome put up a ticket pls. I am sure you get voted in. I would vote for synbad even.

It sounds like he contacted some select members on one day, after having the social media team pour through forums and e-mails. Some of the e-mails were sent over a month ago, so it's the culmination of months of correspondence.

Would this be a bad thing if he sets aside a few hours every fortnight? I see it as something that helps him reinforce his own goals and message.
