With all of his onfield and off field faults; Fevola nevertheless was a class forward; and we just left it all to him.....big mistake.....no grooming or recruitment of a replacement.

As ye sow....so shall ye reap.....or not.

if players dont know how to bring the ball into the forward doesnt that suggest that there is no real game plan? Delivery into the forward line seems to be a long bomb and a prayer or kick to boundary line. We dont have a bug kp to mark whats wrong with drilling the ball chest height in front of a betts or a hampson and let him run on.

Injuries are an excuse, no reason for 3 hawk players to be streaming into their forward for easy training drill goals, a 4hr coach for northern bullants to mentor and drill our players no wonder young blokes have no clue, club locking out supporters by agm rules, telling volunteers their services are no longer required retired players no longer feeling valued enough to be there.

No wonder we are falling

Forwards need to know their role, players upfield are too scared turning the ball over because our makeshift forwards are completely clueless.

What money on by the time any 'review' is underway both Ratten and Cordy are gone. The latter mightn't even be around on Friday night.

The irony I find about big JK was that there were a lot of our supporters who use to bag him and didn't rate him

Fev was his own worst enemy and the club let him destabilise himself and the club - it was poor form by our club and our so called leaders at the club and past champs who sat back and let that fester

Waite has been one big frustration, can do the miracle act then has a brain fade - we miss him of course as there isn't anyone of substance to kick the ball now. He will be our tampon until he retires, in for one week and out for three

We have no hope of recruiting a gun fwd unless they fall into our lap, our recruiters are very, very ordinary and our development is just as poor

Heard Ratten has had high level meetings yesterday and must make finals as non negotiable. Leadership group is said to be involved in meetings as well. Not sure if true though.

I think what last year proved was if your midfield keeps pumping it in there it doesnt matter who your forwards are they will kick goals 150 goals from Betts Garlett and Walker
This year we have been getting smashed in the middle therefore everyone is saying we need a big forward
A big forward would be nice but you have got to get the ball into them first

Westcoast lost 163 goals out of their forward line but their midfield is still working so they keep winning

Cloke and Dawes are playing like busteds all season but the pies midfield is dominating

Win the midfield win the game we went from one of the best midfields to one that is now pretty ordinary without changing much of the personal in there

Williams and Riley need to answer some serious questions but who is asking them

Ratts and the recruiters dont care about the mids.

Nice game by a young Geelong midfielder today on debut in the conditions... went after Rowe.. yes i know everyone wanted to draft Rowe so we pounced...

People thi nk Bootsma is amazing but every club has those.

Theyre coming through for most clubs....

Geelong are blooding stacks of them...

But we crack woodies cos Bootsma was ok....

Recruiters have been off the boil so has Ratten

Ohailpin and Thornton did well in their roles as forwards last year and a little unfair on them in terms of goals assists, tackles, pressure etc.

Riley is part of the Ratts package, he goes when Ratta goes.

Nope - Ratt's has a lot to answer for right now, so does Richardson as the key 2 players though. It's not about 1 person here Synbad. The complete bunch of coaches/selectors! Not about Kernahan right now though.

Know anything Doc or just what you believe might happen? In regards to Cordy.

We need to review everything, from top to bottom. Hopefully we do it properly and brutally. Make appropriate changes from there.

I hope the club are not going the strength and conditioning route and not fully addressing issues in other areas...

Great, so Kreuzer Judd and any other injured players will continue to be flogged to squeeze out extra wins to save the coach's arse. Young players will not get opportunities, all sacrificed to give a dead man walking a chance.

whats worse is all that happens and the coach gets thrown under the bus anyway.. cos they cant be strong enough to do it earlier.. and will have to tell him they gave him every chance..... sorry mate!!!

north will smash us....!!!!

Don't know the nature of the meetings but leadership group combined is said to be more powerful than anyone at the club, they basically run it. If Judd, Murph, Carrazzo, Gibbs, Jamo etc come out and say they want Ratten to stay because of this or that and you need to consider this or that it carries as much weight as Swans or anyone elses word. Providing its a good arguement...if not McKay will need to make recommendation to football sub commitee and then they make a decision. From what I understand the process is pretty damn complex.
