I'm predicting Rattens end after the Richmond game.

We have had then better of them over the last 5 years and have beaten them
9 out of 10 meetings with a 44pt win in round 1 this year.

A loss to them will be unacceptable !

I reckon right where we are now is unacceptable....equal points with Brisbane....

When doing the review we need to measure our performance against our own internal expectations. That was top 4 and contending for the flag.

Even if by some miracle we sneak into 8th and play a final, we are not a true contender so we have failed miserably.

This should not be lost on those doing the review.

Richmond has effectively lost 6 players this week from its first team, with two naughty naughty boys!

Saints are in serious strife injury and form-wise

North now the major competitors to the Blues for the last spot in the eight?

Brisbane a smokey but I can't see Freo gettting there.

Loose this week, gain Murphy back next week and possibly Hendo and Waite the week after that.

My expectations are to win 8 of the last 9 games!

GC, Brisbane, North, Saints, Bulldogs - That's five that we should win EASILLY!!!! No Excuses!!!!!

Essendon*, Richmond & Sydney are the tougher ones but by then we would have key players back and the 'Injury' excuse wont stack up!

So the way I see it, 8 of the last 9 should be achievable!

Great to win against Collingwood of all teams, one win we never expected, but it still most likely won't be enough unless we can win two of North/Sydney/Essendon*/St Kilda (I have us losing 3) and win all those other games we would expect to win.

Running through the ladder predictor again I have the below final ladder. Interesting enough i had us losing to North next week, so as important a win last night was for the group, the North game is of higher importance, otherwise their easy draw will see them stay above us the remainder the year IMO.

Will struggle to beat Brisbane, especially if Merrett plays forward. That leaves a 50/50 against the Gold Coast. I will be there to see our only win in the second half of the year! Hopefully.

I am making the trip up too Verbs, might see you there.
I made the trip to Adelaide for the Port game too, that went well.

Nice one! Should be a good night with plenty of Bluebaggers at the ground.

We play these teams in the run home... Freo could join the "28" club tomorrow.

Destiny is well and truly in our own hands if we're good enough...

I reckon we'll drop to the Saints and one of North/Dogs. 6th or 7th.

We won't but we can certainly win every game in that run home. Even 6 from 8 gives us 13 wins, which will be enough.

I have us finishing 7th and playing Geelong in the first final. Win that and we go to Adelaide.

The Run Home,

WESTERN BULLDOGS (A)
RICHMOND (H)
SYDNEY SWANS (H)
BRISBANE LIONS (H)
Essendon* (A)
GOLD COAST (A)
ST KILDA (H)

If Juddy and Jamo are rubbed out this week, and with Walker out and also maybe AJ and Tuohy,
I cant even see us beating the Bulldogs !!!!

So where does our next win come from ?

No way in hell are we going to make the 8 !!!!

2012 IS over, time to prepare for 2013 and there is no time like the present !!!!

So where do we start ??

Next win will be the Bulldogs, but we now need 6 wins from 7 to reach the finals, even then its not a guarantee.

Only win i can see is against GC, I am making the trip up so i hope we win. All of the others some are 50/50 such as Brisbane and the Bulldogs. The others you would pencil in for losses.

As bad as we are going surely we are still good enough to beat Bulldogs, Brisbane & GC at least?
