Wasn't there a club selection policy about a player being a sub for 2 weeks in row - if they were they were then sent back to the VFL to play a full game.

Do not underestimate the Lions.

As some of you may know, I'm an Ex-Fitzroy supporter........... I switched to the Blues when I was 14 when Fitzroy merged with Brisbane (my dad was Carlton so i thought id be best to go to the footy with him) and as such, I always keep a keen eye on the Lions.

- Rockliff is a gun and I swear he'll win a brownlow one day - he's THAT good. I was praying we'd pick him up. Spewing he went to brissy.
- Beams, although still raw at time, can shut down decent players and i'd bet he'd get the job on Juddy.
- Black is Black............. Discount him if you dare......... but he is still an multiple All Australian, 3 time premiership player, Brownlow medalist, norm smith medallist and countless B&F's.............who cares how old he is.
- Hudson looks refreshed and a handy back-up to Luey.
- Voss is playing for his future!

Having said all that though, we should pump em by at least 30 points, so long as we don't take em lighly.

Russell should make way for Lucas to start. Other than that, no further changes (except Jamo - If He's Fit!)

I can't think of a better way to use a quality, developing young player who has the fitness to run out a game in the midfield. Brilliant tactical nous there.

Don't overestimate the Lions either. They are a very ordinary side.
I could reel off 5 or 6 good players for any club. But they have very little depth.
Would be a monumental flower up on our behalf if we were to lose this.
I don't count their win over Melbourne for much, a VFL side would have beaten them on Saturday.
