Read the long list of best players in the paper this morning for the Richmond game.

Murphy not inluded. Misprint?

I thought he was great. Prehaps the list was long enough alredy.

Who do you think got the Charlie votes?

Robbo 3
Judd 2
Murphy 1 for mine

Judd's game is being talked about as being one of the all time great games by a player ever.

I reckon kicking is his biggest area for improvement.

If the votes were given by Michael Horan then ignore them. In his Sunday Herald Sun report 3 times he mentioned that Mitch Robinson was coming back from suspension. he hasnt a clue.
FWIW my votes
3. Robinson
2. Judd
1. Waite

The WC and Richmond games proved one thing. Although our depth has improved, two or three key players in or out of makes a crucial difference. Once again, injuries may prove to be the most important factor coming into September, for us and everyone else.s An obvious point but worth emphasizing

How vital is Waite? Having a big mobile marking target up forward this week contrasts completely with having no marking target at all against WC. Waite vs Henderson at CHF, obviously no contest. Henderson is forced to work harder down back, and this looks like it could work.

And Robbo. Its a pleasure to watch him, just brings a grin to my face every time, not just for his hardness and skill but his infectious energy. I just hope the mad c>>t doesnt kill himself before we hoist the cup.

Great bounce back boys. A truly pleasurable and relaxed Saturday afternoon in the MCG sunshine.

Nah - I don't reckon. It just proved that sometimes teams are more switched on than others.
Waite and Robbo were good though.
Don't wish harm on anyone but a hamstring twang for Cloke in cut throat final if we play the filth would certainly help............. A lot.

I apologise if this has been spoken about but did anyone else take note of how far Juddy was from the edge of the square when he kicked ‘that goal’? It looked like he was a long way from the line and not far from the centre circle when the roost left his boot. It was a real joy to watch.

Juddy doesn’t have the same flashy game he had at WC but what he does inside is far more important. The streaming through the midfield is left to Murph and others while CJ puts his head down gets the hard ball and farms it out to outside runners. What a gold mine he is.

Having said this Robbo in our team is something to behold. I reckon opposition mids kick that little more hurriedly when they know he is in the area cause lets face it, who wants a cruse missile launched up their backside? Youch!!! His inclusion along with Waite’s, really improved us on the weekend. Very even performance and great comeback after the WC game.

Go Blues!!!

Complete denial and delusion (from the small bit I heard).
Claimed that if we played the Tiges again next week, they'd flog us

Reckon he was almost exactly half way between the centre circle and the edge of the square.

I got to a job just as KB's section started and he was going on about Essendon*'s win......Nice diversion.

I agree, particular his left - dodgy! He is still prone to a couple of errors a match - he is not great below his knees. I'm a big fan though. But Laidler just seems to do the right thing always, or at least attempts it. Just really reliable. Reminds me of Fletcher the way he goes about it, maybe less attacking and not as tall obviously.

Agree with the sentiments though, two super recruits!!

Didn`t hear him this morning but an ad` for the show has a caller from today really giving it to him. Said he couldn`t get passed his hatred of Carlton and it was now starting to make him look stupid and he was losing it. Also called him a bitter man.
Quite an onslaught and good to hear.

It's a great running gag KB's got going there. Good for ratings, good for a laugh. No-one takes his 'Richmond are certainties to beat Carlton' schtick seriously do they?

Re the umpiring and KB:
Is it any wonder that the two blokes who have done more to stuff up the rules (KB) and the umpires (Giesch) were both crucial to Richmond's decline?
And how much did Micheal Christian hate what the Blues were doing?!

Honestly I do not normally listen. I somehow heard five minutes today and KB said that Carlton would only win one more game for the rest of the year.

KB is one of the last old fashioned showmen, and it is great that he hates Carlton. He knows it means ratings.

His young bloke Rhett is a ripper guy.
