Top win because the Saints had to win this game and we found a way to win.
The bye could not have come at a better time though. That was a tough game.

I agree on all points.

I would have been mighty pissed if we lost but a super goal from Walker later I'm a happy man.

4 points is 4 points which ever way you twist it.
St K is a team that could have won the last 2 Grannies. They didn't but lets not forget they aren't bunnies. They have been humiliated and had nothing to lose. A very dangerous opponent given the circumstances. We had no real matchup for Kosi also and McEvoy when he moved forward.
Across the field we have a lot of players who haven't yet hit 50 games. We expect everyone to play like hardened veterans but Ellard Robinson Duigan Joseph Warnock Yarran Joseph Garlett Curnow is a big chunk of the team. Even Jamison has only played 60 odd.
We are desperately missing a 2nd tall forward, if anything just for the structure. Waite ran hard and marked well but that left a hole in front of goal. Warnock's marking was useless and McEvoy/Fisher and Gilbert just marked their hearts out in our forward line.
The mental resolve needed to kick a goal in the last 3 minutes when the other team has all the momentum is enormous. Robinson who was willing all game but didnt play smart executed the perfect assist to Walker. It was like looking at an elite veteran. It gives belief in the team but lets hope they resolve not to put themselves in that situation again.
The components are there. The coaches need to work on execution and decision making and movement across the field. Its better than haveing to work on desire and committment and ball winning.

Kreuzer will solve many of our forward problems. We selected the perfect team last night. Well done to the MC.

I think that when a player marks the ball within 50 metres they should have a shot on goal rather than always trying to play on or pass the ball - unless of course there is someone completely alone.

Felt they were not patient enough, and made poor decisions as a result.

Point in case the mark Simmo took in the last and barely moved but got called to play on.

If I could, I'd go back in time 20 years, take up footy as a kid, play my guts out, study it, train 24/7, apply myself and eventually get drafted to any AFL team. Play my first game against St Kilda with the sole intention of making contact with Milne's face on my elbow at speed. Don't care how many week I get, my purpose in life would be complete.

That's how much I hate that freaking tiprat.

A a special big *snip*youintheface to Milney. After illegally smashing Murph on the goal line to put the Sainst in front. How is that not a free kick? If roles are reversed Milne gets a shot on the goal line.

But then Karma, or kharma or Carmel (Carmel being an 18 yo girl Milney and Montagna probably assaulted while she was passed out) decided that he shouldn't have staged for a free kick for over the shoulder at CHF with a minute or so to go and so decided that the ump should yell "play on".

Well done.

He was run ragged and was spent early in the last quarter but he found more. He was Awesome tonight. With Duigan and Garlett and Gibbs our best 4.

Awesome to win a game like that without relying on Judd.

As much as Milne is a detestable figure, he is easily St Kilda's best forward and as David King said on 3AW, you need to play your best defender on him. Joseph was never going to hold him really. We should have had Russell or Yarran on him from the 1st bounce. He kept them in it single handedly in the 1st half.

Understatement of the century.

St Kilda were due to turn around their craptacular form and this wasn't going to be an easy game. Relieved to get the win and the bye has come at an opportune time.

We did make some poor decisions in playing on a couple of times when a set shot should have been the preference.

Maybe we were unnerved by the umpires who seemed to give our players about 10 seconds to kick from a mark or free before they called "play on" - especially on our back line. But when Riewoldt was lining up for a shot at goal he was given about a minjute and a half.

Robbo's mini-tackle

Robbo is fast becomming my favourite journo.

I'm not from Melb and only started watching game day this year (coz we are winning tough) and he seems to genuinely like us.

Am I right or don't I know him well enough?

Well done RATT's.

Five and a half wins out of seven to start the season and coaching pretty well on the whole.

Structred a pretty good backline out of the fit players to choose from.

Hopefully Hendo or Krueze come good for you soon in the front half and we'll be well on the way to big things.

Put your feet up for a day or two then get the boys up to smash the Cats.

I don't trust him.
His tune has changed so dramatically towards us.
Maybe he is just clever and senses that there is a shift happening in club dynamics, and that Carlton will be more newsworthy than the Aints in the years ahead.

He is still well and truly on the Brave Bombers bandwagon though.
