Here's the latest from the official Carlton website:

Injury Update

Injuries as at 28 June 2010

Chris Johnson – Wrist – 1 week
Brock McLean – knee – 3 weeks
Rhys O’Keeffe – Back – Indefinite
Matthew Kreuzer – knee – season

:donk: :hitcomputer:
So he won;t be back until rd 18 at best ??? Put him in cotton wool and get his ready for next year ................................

Thats a great idea. Then he can have his "best, injury free pre-season ever"(just like last year), before breaking down around about rd 4-5 again in 2011. Sorry for being so cynical...but for some players (ala Xavier Clarke, Sean Rusling) that is their destiny...

I think durability will become more of a focus for recruiters and list managers.
The demands on players from the coaches obviously requires a greater degree of durability to get through a season successfully.
You can have a great deal of talent but what good is it if you can't get on the park.
We have a few talented players with questionable durability unfortunately.

FFS Stop the whole team instead of one player.

I hate when we get all defensive and say we have to stop certain players.

We should play our own game, and let them chase us.

This always blows up in our face when we have this mindset.

bit of a knee jerk. I think going in any match, you'd be negligent in your match day planning not to be aware of and have a plan to quell some of the opposition strengths.

Mmm..maybe..but..and not wanting to be mean to our beloved Ratts, but..I must admit to a little shock at seeing the latest haircut on Sat. nite. I 'd like to see him a grow it a fair bit longer.

Baffled as to how T-Bird hold his spot, given Bower's return

Hopefully Grigg gets another run at it, dito Hampson

IF Bower stays in, then it would appear the unlucky drop-ee would be Yarran or Robinson.

Doubt they will drop Hampson or Grigg - will probably give them another shot & the benefit of a week to adjust to the level.
Doubt it will be Armfield b/c we will need his dash and attack. And I would be surprised if they brought in Wiggins.
Which effectively boils it down to Yarran v Robinson.

(If Lucas comes in as too, well then Armfield might be in a bit of trouble.)

I don't think Lake wil be as big a problem as he was against the Hawks (which they lost anyway!) simply because if he takes out one of Setanta or Henderson, it doesn't affect us as much as taking out Buddy.
I am more worried about a rebounding Cooney, Griffen, Murphy, Boyd & Cross.

Maybe Grigg will be given a run with role?
Houlihan for Murphy?
Boyd will probably go to Judd.
Cooney & Gibbs - could be good. or perhaps on Griffen?
AJ on Johnson, if he plays.
