Looking at the extended bench, this is how I see it:

Geelong has three tall forwards - Mooney, Hawkins and Podsiadly. Then there's Johnson, Chapman and Brynes, a formidable forward line.

Without Waite, we have just Jamison and White. Yes Setanta and Hendo can go back but we need them up forward. For this reason, Waite WILL play IMO.

Lucas and Garlett were brilliant last week and won't get dropped.

We won't bring in McLean and Hadley, only one of them will return. My guess is McLean if fit. I think Robbo will be dropped along with Warnock. Both are out of form and don't offer much for this match.

So that is:

In - Waite, McLean
Out - Robinson, Warnock

Kruiser against Ottens and Blake  I thought we'd want to win this one :banghead:

Kreuzer can't go the ruck on his own. Warnock will be in.

Well whatever the case Waite MUST MUST MUST play! We will be way too small in defence if he doesn't. White is only playing his second game and won't be able to match it one-on-one with Geelong's forwards.

Yep, I'd have Waite fwd and Setanta as the second ruckman. Setanta can follow Ottens especially when he goes fwd and Kruezer will towel up Blake!

Has anyone ever seen Setanta win a tap in senior footy? He is a hopeless ruckman. If we need height in attack or defence, okay. But as a ruckman, forget it unless there is a third going over the top. If Warnock is dropped, play Juddy in the ruck, he does everything else for the team.

So a single ordinary game in the Bullants has restored Waite's form and confidence?

That seems doubtful.

You never know, he might have secretly trained the house down behind the high walls of Visy Park.

Glad to see no Scarlett for the Cats.

My changes would be to bring in McLean & Waite at the expense of Robbo & Army.

Interesting... looks like it's Robbo out McLean in. A bit disappointing because I really like the way Robbo plays his footy.

We might win this one.

Rucks led by Kreuzer
Midfield led by Judd
Black Magic brothers up forward
All else around that falls our way ofcourse. Could happen....again.

Cats really came to play last week against Port.
There were many motivating circumstances associated with that game.
Sure they want revenge for losing to us by 7 goals the last time we played.

Last week they played at home and we played away and beat a bogey side.
This week its on neutral ground. The home of the GF.
I don't think we've played well there lately, and the Cats are experts, but we may be getting use to it.
The fact it's the G and daytime might inspire some inate qualities for our kids to shine against the reigning premiers; men.

I'm getting excited. Come on !!!!!!!!!!!!

Can the club just come out and state what the hell is actually goin on with Bower...........
Gettin the same weak excuse every week that hes a chance but never gets up?????????????????

No Bower= Waite in
if not we have no real plan B for the 3 talls they have as wed have to drop setants or Hendo back giving in to there game plan instead of playing our own

Caratz on Chapman to nullify him by making him accountable.. no one will stop him as a tagger

We need our speed to come into it.. Simmo needs the game of his life and army needs to show his speed. Yarran Betts and Garlett id love to see play major minutes and potentially ohalpin down back if Bower doesnt get up. Then chuck Walker down forward for a hanger or 3 and see how he goes.

Do u remember what happenned to Ling last time he played on Judd?

Judd took him on some long searching runs in 1st Qtr and Ling's face turned the same colour as his hair. Ling cant go with Juddy in an enduraNCE TEST

I know hence why we have a chance.. I said those match ups because I hope to win. Clearly Ling will go to Judd though..

I think that if we win this one it will because of two things...

1. Run
2. Pressure

If the cats have any vulnerability it's that they're not the quickest team going around. If we try to outpoint them by playing a stop-start game waiting for options to open up we will get blown out of the water.

We need to attack, pressure and take the game on.

Hopefully our game plan reflects this.
