Serious question, what percentage do you think we can expect Murph to be against Richmond?

He looked fine in the Crows game IMO, just lacking a bit of fitness. Sounds as though he copped a corkie in the side today, one would presume he'd be fine for Richmond.

During the Crows game in the last quarter he got involved in a piece of play tha required maximum effort. He ended up on the ground and he stayed there long after play had moved on. He then got up and rubbed his groin and did a few stretches. Then he hobbled over to the trainers. He continued to play but it didnt look good. I dont think he is anywhere near 100% and i dont think it is worth playing blokes that are not fit in round 1.

Its only my opinion however. I am aware the club would have all the information required to make the right decision.

Max 70% (around 75 minutes), and I think that would fit in well enough with the squad. If he's still short of a gallop, have him playing a high half-forward role for a large portion of his game time.

I'm not worried if he's not able to play out a game for fitness reasons because at this stage he should get 70 minutes out of himself, but if he's got a genuine niggle (and by the sounds of it his issue in the Adelaide game has disappeared - may have been cramp?) then it's another matter. At the moment he just seems to have a little bruising on his side, which might just need a bit of paracetamol come Thursday night.

I fully agree with those calling for only 100% fit players to be selected.

If Murph Waitey Armfield etc are still underdone then give them another half game in the bullants next week.

Be smart Carlton!!

Peak fitness is such a rare thing. Anyone who's ever played sport at a reasonable level would know that.

As for the team Springsteen...

This is the official line. Happy to accept it at face value....

But I don't think Murph will play

Both looked ok to me against Adelaide.

Waite didn't look too good early but got better as the game went on..... I would put him deep forward, probably wouldn't play him if Austin was fit.

Murphy I didn't see much of early but he looked dangerous forward of centre. Switch him between HFF and the midfield and he should be alright.

Run Betts through the midfield a bit more often, looked the fitness i have seen him...... We need a burst player in the centre while Judd is gone.

Talking about bets. My bro and I, and families are holidaying this week leading up to the game. He is mad Richmond and I of course love my Blues.

I have been pestering him for the last 2 months and finally got confirmation.

Whichever team wins on Thursday night, and the Blues will of course, his 18 month child, HAS to go for that team for the rest of his life.

Go Blues.

P.S. The 18 month child all ready has more teeth than the usual tigger, including his father.

That's fantastic.

For the sake of every other month after his first 18- GO BLUES.

Ben Nason will be in for sure - the feral with the blond dreadlocks who had to get stretchered off in their Nab Cup thrashing.

He fits Hardwick's new policy of only selecting the most feral of the feral of the feral - hence Dustin Martin also.

100% is just a figure of speech rather than a literal comment.

The club suggests Murph and Waitey are right to go which is great. Well done to the both players and the rehab staff.

With Judd being out AND not traded to Carlton, we could have had Kennedy and Masten in this week in our top 18.

I think the trade is going to be even this year and the Judd trade will start to benefit WC more as the years go on.

No shit. Of course it will. Judd is older than Kennedy. When Judd retires, WC will be benfitting more I'd say.
