Maybe it's because he boozes it up after games.... Alcohol is not good for recovery....needs to be suspended from booze really....

I have heard from a very reliable source (this is 100% true) that Cloke has to play a certain amount of senior games this year to get a contract next season. At the moment he is one game short of fulfilling that criteria and with this indiscretion I doubt we will see him in finals. So we have seen the end of Cloke it seems.

That makes Cloke a rather silly boy then.

Were they 15 minutes late for recovery?
Or did they miss it all together?

Big difference in my opinion.

Garlett and Betts are fantastic players. Hope they can make it back in the team the following week.

I am in favour of any decision that assists Carlton in winning matches. Let's hope this is the right decision.

People aren't robots and they make the odd mistake (Assuming they were late for the recovery...missing all together is a larger mistake). End result - this takes away a lot of our speed and forward line pressure - mmm. Adelaide are in the box seat- change your tips.

Ratts said on the radio they were very late... and if not for a call from the club to find them probably wouldn't have made it at all. Also said the boys were out playing up the night before.

This comes from one of the parents of one of the players (I won't name who). Also heard that all three turned up in a taxi still drunk.

Club should nominate the player replacing each of them in the senior side and then for every possesion that player gets in the Adelaide game they should have to run a 400m before the boys roll up for the after game recovery the next morning. Each 400 should be folllowed by the number of possesions in pushups and situps. Any goals kicked equals an extra 400m

Then they should have to cook the entire playing group breakfast for which they have paid for and arranged themselves.

Agree with the one week ban though.

Cloke was probably going to be replaced by Hammer or Sauce this week anyway and if he wasn't he probably should have been.

Garlett was excellent on the weekend but I strongly doubt he could play anywhere near that level for the second week in a row and gives Yarran a crack at a quality opposition rewarding his great form in the VFL over the past 2 weeks.

Eddie has been in terrible form imo over the last few weeks and could do with the rest hopefully coming back refreshed in time for the finals.

So theres no significant loss out of those 3 and it really sets the scene for the rest of the list and tells them that the club will not deal with bullshit from the players.

Eddie has been terrible, 'snip'.
Great decision by the club.
No one is above the club and the standard has to be set high for all.
Great things come from great actions.
Great action Carlton...

Given what we have gone through over the last 7 years. This is hardly the time to play the morals and ethics line.

The Football department is required to field the best team.

Call a club director and voice your disapproval today.

I have already called one. This will be raised at the AGM.

We have already sold a top 4 finish and this is just Bullshit.

The objective is to win flags. Good citizenship is something players can do when they retire.

Call a Director today and call them out on this..

Icke you will be called to account on this. Remember the members decide what happens in the end.

That is some of the funniest ranting shit I've ever read on here. In my mind's eye I see the Caulfieldrover wearing a powdered wig and pointing a lot whilst being so outraged.
