Is it Demonlands home game? You know they'll cry if they can't scab the gate takings from a more successful board who will pull in the crowds.

Good luck today TCers! Unless we're talking Chelsea it's not often I say

GO BLUES!!!!!

thanks for the game, people...

you could have/should have won...

your guys played so much smarter than we did...

that skinny young kid on your forward line bears watching for his future career...

hope we play again, and I am sure the trophy will be yours soon, with quality players like you brought today...

hot debate on our sites about the naming of the trophy...

would appreciate your thoughts, and we will not name it without your agreement...

some people want to call it "the duke" (aka the earl spalding trophy)...

others want to call it the warnock brothers tankard...

regards and RESPECT,

rollo.

Thanks rollo and to all the Melbourne guys for a good sportmanship game (except for that 1 bloke in your team!).

Are you talking about the skinny kid that kicked the goal off the ground in the last quareter or the light brown haired kid who also played in the middle?

I like the Warnock Brothers Tankard name :-D

Good Game, bit crowded having to use the rugby ground as Gosch had parts under repair.

Played in good spirit, a good strong umpire helped after a couple of little things, but good for the hit out.

We should try again in Feb??

Two games a season would be good.

We had good talls, one or two more quality middies would have got us over the line.

Enjoyed the afternoon.

Congrats to them -

Tough call for the Clive Peters Goal of the Day...

I'd say it'd be between Fev's long bomb from the center and the little fella's soccer off the ground.

hey, jb...

sorry about that one bloke...

problem is he keeps getting away with it...

I was talking about the kid who soccered the goal in the last quarter that put you guys in front with 5 minutes to play...

once again, it was a genuine surprise and pleasure and privilege to play against passionate supporters from another tribe...

didn't know your club deserved you guys, but we have learned our lesson...

thanks again for the game...

the result was irrelevant and what was important was the contest, which had the supporters on both sides on their feet many times applauding the efforts of both sides...

as a (modest) player from the '70's, I was left breathless at times today by the gifted players on both sides who weaved their way through heavy traffic...

the contests in the mid-field were memorable...

see you soon on the park...

february sounds good, we can field our A team then... :P

genuine regards from all at demonology/demonland...

rollo

The Earl Spalding Cup sounds appropriate. Would even go as far as making it an annual game on the Sunday before Melbourne Cup Day.
Thoughts?

In regards to the game, well done to all involved. In particularly the Demon lads. Thanks to the ump too.

Thought the game was played in good spirits without any white line fever from anyone.

It was unfortunate that we didnt have a proper ground to play on so hopefully when we play next time, and against other forums during the summer, we will have a full size ground to work with.

Best players for mine from a Carlton perspective were...

Italian Styles - Ran hard all day and played smart footy by kicking it long to our targets. Took some killer grabs too.

James Bond - Brilliant down back. It's a shame that Orangelad was unavailable as those two would be a brick wall in defense. His efforts was extremely good.

Tommy - For a guy who doesn't play comp footy, I thought he was awesome. Good skills and found plenty of it.

Peter (Firearms mate) - Rucked really well throughout the day. Very rarely beaten in a one on one and took some crucial marks during the game. Hope he plays again.

Fevolution - Kept finding the ball and was good in the clinches. His goal from half way was a pearler.

Special mentions to James Bond Jnr who kicked the goal of the day. Could have had two had his first attempt gone a metre to the left. Special mention also to Chris Carrazzo who copped a massive bump in the first quarter and contributed with a good goal.

Overall, not a bad first up effort. Hopefully we can get another game up and running early next month. Would love to play the Saints or Collingwood.

Yesterdays game was probably the best standard of footy we have had out of these games that i have played.

I thought we fought it out very well considering we were missing some very good players, and lacked numbers in general.

I was wrapped in Peter's performance, the guy hasn't played footy since he was a kid! He plays tennis as his chosen sport, but will make his comeback to footy, as will I, at my old VAFA club in 2009!!

I have to single out Paulie for his effort, he was sensational in the air, and on the ground. Keeps improving everytime i see him play. Clint was handy also, we are going to have to call these two Kouta & Ang. :P

Peonix was solid down back, as usual, and the quite Fevolution let his actions speak through a megaphone....Plenty of other great contributers through the midfield and backline also.

Full credit to the Melbourne boys for their effort on and off the field.
Thank you to the umpire for a great effort, and letting somethings go so that there could be some flow in the game, 10/10.

Rollinson,

would love to play you guys again, but if that idiot plays again let him know that his antics won't be tolerated again, he's used up all his warnings.

Cheers,

FF.
