Sorry huge multi-national with $1,000,000 over 3 years to spend, we can't accept your money because all our sponsorships are sold.

Sorry huge multi-national with $20,000,000 over 2 years to spend, we can't accept your money at Collingwood because we have already done a deal with Emerites to be our major sponsor. Eddie is useless, sack him.

I wouldn't normally bite CarltonGod but its a good question.

* Outline the strategic initiatives in place to secure 32,000 members
- pay by the month
- ????
- mining of membership lists from prior years to see if they will come back to the Club given the promise of youth?

* Outline the assumptions underpinning the $500k loss (although the note also says we'll be back in the black on that point?)
- cost growth in football department
- cost cuts in ????
- increased revenues from ????

* Outline the basic ideas behind how we will raise $2m for the PP redevelopment?
- 'Heroes' expansion?

* Outline why and where we will improve
- something about how x no. of players will have played 30 games by x date and this tends to be a key point in their development
- confirmation of good v young. The fact that we're young in itself doesn't mean much other than finally in 2006 we've decided to cull deeply
- role of additional Coaches and what 'development' means; who is responsible for it and how will it be managed?

* Outline how we're moving ahead with the times (if applicable)

* Outline how we're embracing our great history

(Each of the last 2 to be expressed in terms of initiatives costs and revenues).

Something like that Mr.God?

How about using Club Laverton as a meeting spot for those who live in the Western Suburbs? Not all of us who live out hear can be stuffed driving into Carlton to spend money at the Social Club, so expand the social events. Take it the people, if the people won't come to you.

How will we raise the $2 million Molsey? If it is so easy just go ahead and tell us all.

That was my question, God. A throwaway line in an official announcement that we'll worry about it later probably isnt good enough

Drivel like this illiterate garbage from Smorgan makes me angrier than ever before.

This is purely a campaign document for the clown's re-election bid, and as Molesy and GWS pointed out, it is not a plan.

It pisses me off that supposed 'professionals' such as Gleeson join this bunch of incompetents, and then produce indecisive performances that are beyond belief.

Smorgan is one of Australia's wealthiest indoviduals, but now he's spending the club's money to gloss over his pathetic presidency.

Arsehole.

It is now abundantly clear (if it wasn't already before) that Graham Smorgons 1st priority as CFC President is GRAHAM SMORGON and not the CFC. He has hijacked our club!!

This is totally unacceptable for the position he holds and he must be removed one way or another as soon as possible.
If his fellow Directors cannot do this they should be removed as well.

The general membership, US, must form a petition of the required amount of signatures to force a total spill of the board at an EGM as soon as possible.

Yep, exactly what I thought as well when I read what AGRO wrote.

Just to get an idea for a comparison, do any of the other 15 clubs, offer their detailed plans to their membership?

I was actually agreeing with Molesy - but your all seeing eye (I'm not sure which end though) missed the point entirely.

No other club needs to. They are not a rabble like us. I believe Richmond actually spoke with members of the ThePuntRoadEnd forum.

Hawthorn I think has their strategic plan (mainly a recruiting plan) on their website from memory.

But generally no.

I continue to be stuck between the idea that it shouldn't be necessary and the lack of confidence I have. If we were showing tangible signs of improvement would any of us need it? If we were making headway into the financials rather than being $500k under at full sponsorship and only when 32,000 people sign up wouldn't we just trust the Club?
