Will be interesting if we get Mathouse. We haven't had a mentally unstable coach for a long time. His volatility and temper could work or could backfire.

I thought we already have him

We will look @#$%&! stupid if we haven't :donk:

I have been listening to 3AW and BT is on. He interviewed MM which will be shown tonight during the game. He was asked if he thinks he will coach Carlton next year and he said that he truely believes that Matlhouse hasnt made up his mind yet. He may be wrong but if that is the case then the board has a lot of explaining to do.

From sources high up at CFC (yes I have them too) MM is just playing the media game to get the best possible deal and is really keen to coach next year.

Just for the record, I have no sources but what is the expectation for Malthouse?
If he doesnt make the top 6 with a healthy list, has he been a failure?
Or if he has injuries and doesnt make the 8, will we be looking to move him on?

What is the expectation? We're not giving him a couple of years to put his imprint on the list, are we?

In other words, we're in a corner, bent over, and lubed up

Obviously I'll support the new coach, whether it be Milhouse or whomever, but ...

I still maintain that we should've let Ratts see out his contract. Apart from giving Ratts
a fair chance to succeed with a, (hopefully), healthy list, it would've saved us some
bucks and we most likely would've had more alternatives to choice from, (eg Roos),
if it didn't work out.

You'd like to think there will be more consistency in individual workrate within the team structure next year.

I suppose what may bring that consistency is a better understanding of what they're actually trying to do ie defensive presses, kickout strategies, transitions out of defence, inside 50 entries, etc.

If we can get on top of those things and that brings consistency, then the ladder position takes care of itself.

Flag in 3 years. Anything else is a failure.
Top 4 at least 2 of those years.

This must be what the Board are thinking with the outlay we are making.
