The only thing worse than Carlton right now is Carlton supporters who somehow think seasons overlap. They don't.

Do we all agree now Voss is a terrible coach?

Do we need to wait until we score -12 points like in Jeopardy?

This clown is regressing at an unprecedented rate. And the list he supposedly is in command of is superior to that helmed by his predecessors

I know we want to be acting like a good modern club and NOT sack our coach

But FFS the rate we are going we won't even score in 4 weeks

This is a true test for Cook. Is he made of stern stuff or just a pretender like so many people in high positions?

Press conference was almost as bad as the game

Another review awaits. I think it'll fall Voss's way. Assistants gone, new fitness people, new head of football. Cook has lived this before.

I think this will happen too.

Lot more pain to come yet.

I probably don't care anymore but my understanding is most of the assistants were recruited under Voss's watch. Is this a brad lloyd barry or voss Schmoss?

Then Voss is culpable

Worst coach in the history of the club

Has a good list and this is what he produces

At least Mick and Bolts and Teague had rubbish lists

Voss has no such excuse

It is a disgrace

honestly why do we think Voss has a great list.

we have some elite talent (that are out of form) but the difference between our A Grade and our B/C grade is enourmous.

our list is terrible ...

Malthouse had a better list. They'd been a kick away from a prelim two seasons prior and had had a shocker with injuries the previous season. He turned them into spooners, ran off our most exciting players, turned us into a boundary hugging borefest and embarrassed the club with his Grumpy Old Man press conferences. Voss needs more time to fall to that level.

I was fooled by our list.

I haven't played supercoach for years but I do know that loading up with top end talent and running a bench for D graders used to be a pretty effective way to win at supercoach.

What I also know is that in real footy it doesn't work.

The three dynasty teams of the past 20 years, Geelong, Richmond and Hawthorn, took a very different approach. Pick players for the gameplan you intend to implement. We haven't had the right coaches, I don't think we've have the right players, and we are, basically, flowered.

This list can't turn it around. They are broken. Cripps is busted. Walsh is busted. We are absolute shells at the first bounce every single week.

This club is broken.

I think this is the issue. Is the game plan suited to the list? What players do we need for the game plan? Acres, cera? On what basis was voss appointed, game plan with list, players required to perform the game plan? Who knows

He has gone too defensive when there only needed to be a minor tweak.
Last year we played attacking football got hurt on rebound. But we still had the 6th best points against record
We often jumped out with big leads and nearly got run over and by the end of the year teams were running over the top of us.
This year we are not getting the big lead and the defensive game we are playing is keeping us close but there is nothing left for attack.
We fall over at half forward this is due to the fact we don't have any half forward of note and we are pushing to many numbers back.
When we try to transition forward we are kicking to an out number so it either gets chopped off or we don't have numbers at ground level.
We are expecting a couple of 18 and 19 year olds in Durdin and Motlop to make a difference. We really are missing Martin or someone like him.
Vossy needs to release the shackles a bit as relying on winning the contested ball is not working as teams are setting that as their focus.
Cripps Walsh and Hewett have been lowering their colours every week. Kennedy must attend more centre bounces.

It will be interesting to see if he persists with it or he resorts to a more attacking game.
This type of play is exactly what Lyon or Roos would have done if they came in. They would have watched last year and Teague years and said tighten the defensive side up.
It may pay off long term as ultimately we are 20 to 30 games less experienced than those in top half of ladder

Dunno about worst coach ever, but he's certainly putting up a strong case. Hasn't got to Malthouse levels yet.

Mick didn't have a rubbish list to start with, ratts got them to premiership favourites before injuries smashed us and cost him his job. Mick had a pretty good list that he destroyed. Voss is doing the same

Surely the penny has dropped for Voss. Can’t continue doing the same thing over and over. Otherwise, another coach is gone.

He has tried to implement a defensive game plan and failed miserably. Firstly he hasn’t got the cattle and it is too one dimensional. The best teams have a good balance between defence and attack. We have forgotten how to move the ball. The lack of cohesion is mind boggling.

It’s time for this club to reset. Get serious about building a team and game plan that will bring success. Not just finish ninth and regress at an alarming rate. We are not contending for at least 2 - 3 years. Disappointing but we need to be realistic.

Can’t persist with players like Fisher and O’Brien. You need competitive players who attack the ball and play their role defensively. Some of the missed tackles are like a cancer and so so deflating.

He may eventually get sacked but he should at least give himself the best chance and instigate some real change before it is too late.

Needs to do what Chris Scott did last year but ideally with a better group of assistants than he has now: “how can we do this better??”
