So the fact that they've known each other since they were kids and played together at Dandenong in the U18s should count for nothing?

I don't care even if they are involved in a relationship with eachother..

What bothered me with milne was that he put his arm around him and walked with him, unlike the other players.

what ever happened to good old sportsmanship in footy or is that gone out the window

We have to remember young kids are watching and attending these games and are easily influenced by afl players

I am not sure any of you would like to see your young kid walk of in huff becuase your son or duaghter was in a losing side

when you ask ya kid why didnt you acknowledge the oppisition player at the end of the game and young junior says i didnt see Chris Judd do it so i didnt do it

Sportsmanship has gone out of the game

yeah its perfectly ok to drop the head and shake ya head in disapointment becuase you lost but not to acknowledge and shake hands with the oppisition is bad sportsmanship

the time to dwell on losing is in the change room not on the ground

maybe fev went over the top with the hugging

I know for certain if i was playing against a friend and at the game he didnt acknowledge me with a hand shake i would be very disapointed and see it as bad sportsmanship like... which would mean end of friendship

i think some of you should think about what is sportsmanship all about

just remember young kids are easily influenced and what they see afl players do they try to emulate themselves

teaching kids not to show sportsmanship is not good

If Fev was doing it to show good sportsmanship then who are we to stand and ridicule him for it

win, lose or draw but at the end of the day show good sportsmanship...

cheers

if fev had have just done a handshake with the saints that would have been more than enough sportmanship and i can assure no one would have made any more of it. the excessive hugging and smiles weren't a good look when the rest of his teammates had already shaked hands and were walking off the field disappointed with the loss.

Not one single Hawthorn player hugged a St Kilda player tonight.

That's [REDACTED].

...true but if it was Kirk or one of the Shinboners that did it it would have been written up as good sportsmanship ......if written up at all.

Swann on 3AW today:

Board meeting tomorrow night- Fevs contract negotiations likely to be put off until seasons end - stalemate at this stage.

Murphy's contract just about done & Waite very close.

So after today people still want to let him go?

Im sick of all the armchair experts on here who rate players like Hartlett, Russel, Fisher etc. and talk them up and let their inspid perfromances go unnotices, one poster even called Hartlett our next CHF, lmao - whilst Fevs indiscretions are put under the microscope immediately and we call for his head.
