All Carlton supporting TC'ers are cordially invited to the Blueseum BBQ.

We had a great BBQ way back in 2006 which was a lot of fun, so we thought it would be great to bring it back bigger and better for 2009.

In order that we can keep track of numbers you will need to register your RSVP to the following email address:

admin at blueseum dot org

or alternatively contact me via PM.

The BBQ is kindly being sponsored by the Spirit of Carlton Past and Present who will soon be launching their brand new website.

The details of the BBQ will be as follows:

Date: 28th February 2009
Time: 12:30pm
Place: BBQ area behind the Legends Stand at Princes Park
Click Here for Google Map of BBQ Area

There is a large playground and toilets near the BBQ facilities so families are most welcome.

Basic food and drinks will be supplied, those registered as coming to the BBQ will get first dibs.

Feel free to bring a plate of food, a footy or a picnic rug, we would love it to be a friendly family atmosphere.

Come and enjoy a great day and meet some fellow Blues supporters.

Would be great to see you there murray.

mandy almost made it to the last one in 2006, didn't make it to the BBQ but did meet up with a few of us at Percy's pub for a few drinks that night.

Would be great is Sedat could make it, we could talk cricket!

Perhaps I should have put in the caveat of 'all TCers'.

Yes.

Not mass quantities, but enough for a BBQ.

So, not "enough" then?

I'll be there in spirit again, so if y'all feel that familiar chill you'll know it's me.

Certainly won't say no to looking at some memorabilia.

Would be great if you can make it. Please let me know if you will be attending.

We have already had a good number of people RSVP. Don't be shy, should be a great day with plenty of Blues supporters (hopefully going on about how good Yarran's six goal haul was in the first round of the NAB cup  ).

Hmm, looks like another reason to try and get to the Melbourne Motor Show.

With the Blueseum stepping up another gear in 2008, we're looking to continue the surge for 2009 to make it a more readily available and up to date information source - this means, in addition to covering our history in increasing detail, yet covering today's players as quickly as possible. We'd like to set up some form of weekly update schedule to ensure that all of the key functions utilised by fans on site is ready and able for use. Now we already have a few key writers who do some of this, but one of us is doing Year 12 next year (and may not have the time), whilst others are moving into research roles on history. The upshot is we have a need to work out a schedule of users - although this sounds like an obligation we'll make sure there's people around to help do the role if you can't. We see it as 5 tasks:

1. Game Reviews
- initial data entry
- game review / commentary

2. Player Bio Updates
- key milestones
- games / goals
- commentary if really required

3. Locker Room
- update each locker for games played (22 jumpers a week)

4. Playing List 2009 update [molsey]
- Ive put together a spreadsheet to help me do this quickly
- Stat Shot update

5. Ad-hoc records (2009 Records)

I'd be happy to take PM's or EOIs in here if someone wants to help. Items 1 and 2 are the really important bits so the more the merrier.

Thanks.

I'd like to finalise this by the end of January if we could - with the pre-season on us shortly it would be good to try to work out the roles (+ have some back-up providers). Of course once the game reports are done nothing stops current users from adding their own thoughts insofar as they aren't deleting the work of others.

I'd be happy to take expressions from all past, current and future users on this.

molsey, I'll be happy to be a part-time helper, but don't think I can put my hand up for week in, week out duties.

I'm not sure what a bump out is, but I'll keep a couple of coldies ready for you!
