Yeah I really want to be positive about the club doing everything right by H but can't you be sad in the off season or something :banghead:

I want to see both Moir & White on the Ground. Put someone else as the Sub.

Vossy has a habit of burning off Young Talent. He will most likely play one of them as the Sub, then Srtraight back to the 2's next week! :banghead:

Exciting ins.

Not thrilled about Boyd being one and done, and Cottrell is a big miss given the need to curb the filth's quick movement out of D50.

I hope Young kicks a bagful and you struggle to regain your spot

At the risk of sounding like a complete flower, if you are colon you are in for the kill this week. Not that carlton are rock bottom and colon flying but, itill be a pretty impressive win if Carlton get up. Hopefully a bit of inexperienced exuberance does the trick

was only Monday i was watching the Will White highlight reel that was posted in Feb and im wondering why he wasn’t listed for aFL before Evans and why he hasn’t had a game given the only thing stopping us winning games has been goals dried up in second half every week. shows a bit. good luck.

my Kouta spotting premonition was a week early, he’s playing this week. i hope he can make the most of it. he has a bit of big game flair about him so i hope he rises to the occasion and makes a four quarter effort with lots of assists and unselfish interaction bw him, White, Motlop and Charlie (when he’s on the ground).

people saying Doc should be dropped this week. Voss the Boss could have made a big statement on the Peter Mac week and dropped Doc (Peter Max non-executive board member no less) but it was never going to happen. not at a club like Carlton where you don’t rock the boat, because that’s just the way it is. would have been a very hard call to make in the circumstances with Doc being an inspiration to so many people and families with loved ones with cancer — even if Voss wanted to drop him which im sure he didn’t. he’s just not that sort of coach. stability is everything to Voss. even if it’s the stability of losing games week could have won with more application and better tactical insight.

so my two inklings about Moir and White came good this week. jeez i hope they’re up for it, will put pressure on for playing positions each week if the kids are turning up.

i think we’re not far offf it unlike some and we have key personnel holes up forward (especially, no Jack Martin, no Owies, no Elijah and Motta still not quite there yet) and down back (Liam jones replacement, 2nd in 2024 B&F Newman who is the glue down back) that is a big part of why we can’t grind out wins this season. even when we aren’t play great four qtr footy.

second skills just look rubbish compared to 2023, players like Doc and Acres can play 3x better than what they are. same for Walsh and many others. did they get flogged in the preseason and still coming back into it? mass psychosis going on in playing group?!

the third part of it is Coaches Box. always has been, Voss united the team and gets them
motivated but match day tactics must be constantly evolving and to the extent they are we are better for it. however to the extent they aren’t we get found out and run over the top of. the good teams seem to be running teams down late in the second quarter and third and kicking away in the fourth. we need to work out how to save something in the tactical kitbag so we don’t peak in the first quarter each week.

if it wasn’t for this being a black armband game for Pies for insoirational Andrew ‘Krak’ Kraker id go out on a limb and say an upset in the making. but too many factors against us to put my name to that. just hope we play four quarters and continue to improve. you can’t ask for much more than that, given the list and given the coaches and fitness personnel wont change much mid-season.

what’s with all the gallows humour everyone? we’re only zero and three, it’s only been 12 losses on the trot! and we only lost by a kick or two in two of the games. yes we are playing ugly footy for big slabs of games. but remember when it was a case of will we lose by 30, to or 90 points this week? show some resilience like lifetime bagger, Will White!!

Was appalling bring in Boyd after only one game in the VFL - and then only using him as a sub - if he wasnt fit enough for a whole game in the AFL last week, he should have played another full game in the VFL before being recallled to the AFL.

But the usual stupidity in selection.

As for burning young players - Voss is going to do this to Lord, we get rid of Matt Kennedy because we saw Cooper Lord as younger and a similar type player (in terms of hard at it and accumulator) yet we drop him after one game (Richmond game), give Lord some continuity either in the AFL or VFL for god sake, but yo-yoing between the AFL and VFL is not good for development.

Maybe he scooped some ayahuasca into the steam room and is just trying to comprehend what he’s seen.

He’ll be back when the snozberries taste like snozberries again.

Good to see Moir and White in.
Good to see Lord getting another crack at it.
Disappointed to see Acres still in and not Campo or Binns.
Campo would've added to the leg speed needed to beat this lot and to be honest he couldn't be worse than what Acres has been dishing up.

Now Charlie needs to drag Darcy up the ground and leave Young in the square with White and Motlop at his feet and Kemp and Moir running leads away from him.

Boyd late in for Williams?

Hopefully.

We lack run from behind, foot skills and decision making and we drop Boyd.

Can’t believe Acers is still in the team. Out Acers in Binns.

Carlton Fans, I know we are all dying for a Win and Every week say this is the One

BUT

Do not Stuff up your Footy Tipping once again lol. I bet we are all behind in Tipping cause of Carlton. Pick the Pies even if your Gut feeling says we will win.

Reality is, we can not Win... too many passangers. I am picking the Pies. I can't afford to go further behind. I take my Tipping Seriousely lol

Anyone expecting a big game from Motlop?

I thought Boyd in starting 22 for Docherty was the right call.

Boyd had 9 disposals at 90%, the 3rd highest behind Weitering and Cowan in terms of disposal efficiency, in under a half of football.

We need Boyd kicking the ball.

Really don't understand it.
