Looks like Kennedy might be taking Kemps role down back. I'd make Cottrell sub with Cerra and Cunners to alternate playing his high half forward role and pushing into midfield. If Hewett is sub I'll scream

yeah, that's what i mostly getting at.

carroll into the centre square at first bounce, over hewett? carroll isn't any faster, and he's certainly not cleaner.

Like a few others I am a bit worried about this game.
Just a heads up for those planning to take public transport.
There are bus replacements of a few lines, including the Hurstbridge and Mernda lines.
I think there are also disruptions with trams around the Southern Cross end.
Might be a good idea to check first.

Thanks kezza

Doesn’t phase me how the team is named. Has little to do with how we actually line up. And even if they do line up as named, I’m not fussed. They’ll interchange after 2 mins. Who cops the sub role is the only thing that matters. As long as it’s not Hewett, or owies again for that matter, then I’m fine with it.

Btw don’t sleep on Carroll. I think he’s going to be far better than many realise.

I can think of worse but I dare not even utter the words. It starts with *

I'm not worried.
I mean, if we lose this then just forget about doing much in September.

Team looks much better. North will try but fade out.

Pardon the pun but pitto knee being replaced after one game is the absolute pitts. I get horses for courses but this is a real stink fest

I must say I am excited by the balance of the team. Of course we are one injury to Jacob in danger of coming unstuck but otherwise I really like it.
Hopefully we are training up for finals. To not be would a terrible move. This lineup should help us cover the 120mins. Be great if North dont want the 4pts either.

swans took them to the shed last week, we need to as well

Swans at the SCG are a different proposition than Carlton at Marvel. If Weitering is a late out, I think North are a strong chance to cause an upset.

Who can forget the debacle at Marvel - round 19, 2021 and the Nick Larkey benefit.

We’ve beaten them 3 times in a row at Marvel since with an average of around 50 pts each time…..

Gee how useless has Sam Durdin been as key defender coverage? Selected for one game and quickly injured, and injured every other time we’ve needed to bring him into the seniors.

He’s a good player but just too fragile, along with Martin, Cuningham, Marchbank, and Williams.

He also got suspended for 3 weeks which became 6 weeks with the VFL schedule.

He is playing better than Young, he just keeps getting injured.
