Bondiblue,
Is this the documentary you referred to earlier?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TI6lo3tWpl0That production is brilliant. I really admire Saba's analysis. Smart cooky.
No, its not that vid. I think it may have been a twitter clip.
It is exclusively Voss Press interviews, maybe 10 of them, and half of them after a loss.
At the end of the vid the statement explains when the footage was taken.
Vossy did not change his approach or message one bit.
I like the way Vossy sees the losses as a lesson. A lesson of the gaps "we need to fix". He doesn't say he has to fix.
He has bonded the team, and their ethos to love each other.
Such is the love and care for each other, there is another fear that drives the players: Fear of alienation.
No one wants to leave Carlton ... that includes the like of Dow, who had options elsewhere but he saw his name in the pecking order.
For me, my message is that every player knows their role, and the "one soldier down another steps up" mantra is for real.
Every player loves this team and their coaches and want success for each other. They are the cohort. All of them.
They know they can create history. Their history. Most important they are playing for the fans. They know our pain.
There will be players who miss selection, and if any of those on the outer was selected, they would know what their role is.
The message from the coach and players are clear. At our best they know they can beat anyone.
Lets make them all feel they are the best: Best 23 or Best squad in the AFL.
We are Stronger Together.
I will try and find that video and post.
I have another video I will post after the win on Saturday night. A very spooky video that will send chills down your spines.
The video identifies what we all are, players and fans aligned, and the stars have aligned, and shows some evidence we have learned our lessons from the 90's.
We are Stronger Together, and if you think we are different to all other clubs, you are dead right.
