I'm glad the club is taking the right approach with Sam, the side of caution is the better option.
If we want to be playing finals then the team needs to be as injury free and in peak form at the end of season.

I reckon they'll go with:

Newman - Weitering - McGovern
Saad - Young - Cowan
Docherty - Cripps - Hollands
Silvagni - C.Curnow - Fisher
Durdin - McKay - Motlop
TDK - Cerra - Hewitt

Pittonet - E. Curnow - O'Brien - Dow

Sub: Honey

Nothing to do with the club called Carlton?

Carlton: The club that experienced the highest attendance to home games in 2022, despite not making Finals.

Nah, nothing to do with Carlton.

Last year prior to the Good Friday Game NM CEO said Amarfio

Quote:
“We’re hopeful the Victorian and North Melbourne members and also Bulldogs fans show up in force,” Amarfio, who was “very pleased” the Roos had retained the game, said.

He said the club would work hard with the AFL on marketing the Good Friday game.

After all the hard work NM did the attendance between North and Bulldogs on Good Friday last year was 32,162

Quote:
the Dogs having played in the inaugural match on that Easter public holiday in 2016 and again in 2017.

The Western Bulldogs and North Melbourne competed in the AFL's first Good Friday clash in 2017.

St Kilda lost the fixture after a disappointing performance and attendance of 33,966.

The match drew 28, 483 in 2021

Yeah right....nothing to do with North's opponent Carlton? Carlton have approx 85,000 paid up members for season 2023, and aiming for 100,000.
LOL yeah I just read that.

Wow are midfield is going to be thin. They will bring back LDU and Simpkin this week. Here we go........

:yikes: with Walsh Kennedy Acres Martin Cottrell & Boyd missing this week, Cuningham underdone, and Williams for the season

It doesn't seem fair for us supporters.

Lucky for Fisher and LOB imo. This couyld be a lucky break for LOB after last week's dismal performance. The Dome suits LOB.

Cripps Hewett Ed Cerra (inside mids) ... yeah, a bit thin. Fisher will get smashed by Cunningham and Zurhaar as a mid. So what can we do?

Need Doc to help in the midfield. Cincotta seems to be best replacement for Doc as 7th defender.

Who will be 23rd/sub = Dow, Honey, Plowman the only players in some sort of form. Carroll? A bit of a stretch.

Where there is a will ...

Its close to the mark champ. The cupboard is quite bare.

Who is the 7th defender?

Cincotta? Plowman?

Yep

you obviously know Effendopes arent going to miss out on their attendance of a Blockbuster with the corrupted AFL and media supporting their every wish.

Effendon were North’s opponents in 2019, after St Kilda played the game in 2018. The Bombers game attracted a crowd of more than 48,000, just eclipsing the 47,622 that saw the first Good Friday match in 2016.

Carlton's Good Friday game is a sellout.

With our outs I'd be happy with another scrappy "unconvincing" win.

The only thing I want to see besides the 4 points is Harry getting some goals on the board.

Regardless of our "outs". NM also has some good players out. Its also a game against North Melbourne.

No excuses. We should bury them, certainly if we are fair dinkum about being anywhere the final 8 and in finals- which should be not negotiable.

Drop this game and its ................................................ well not acceptable

Interesting to see who the sub is....
The others are very 'like for like'....if it's not Dow, you would think he's definitely not in the good books... (if we didn't know already)

Missing Walsh Kennedy Acres Owies Williams Boyd Martin Marchbank from Best 25

Will we ever get close to our best side?

It’s never gonna happen, apart from Walsh that list is an injury prone list of players let’s be honest
