He is qualified to umpire a GF now. As soon as an umpire becomes famous for being terrible then they all of sudden climb up the pecking order.

Putrid performance, absolutely no heart at all in that first quarter. We looked like a team who had utterly no intention of trying to win the game yesterday, from a playing and coaching standpoint.

Zorko flogged us. Not only was he allowed to run riot and play a huge part in the overwhelming deficit at half time, he was able to act like an arrogant flog whilst doing it. Soft as butter from everyone wearing Navy blue yesterday.

Our forward line setup was like something you'd see at an under 10s game. The fact that a first gamer looked like our most dangerous player inside 50 is embarrassing.

We had very little rebound off half back, and the few times we did get a quick rebound it was halted with a sideways or backwards kick because no one was ahead of the play or players leads were ignored.

I said it when he was appointed and I'll say it again, Marc Murphy is not a captain. When it was his turn to rally the troops, he was silent and invisible. Shithouse from a Captain of 5 years.

On a brighter note, I absolutely love Charlie Curnow. SPS showed some good signs along with Jack. There was a passage where Cunningham blasted into goal and put one through, vintage Judd. We have some good young kids, but unfortunately we are a mile off it

So we are no way miles off it.

We need an influx of class mids via the trade and draft and we sorely missed Cripps yesterday too. Our backline before the loss of Marchbank and Rowe was one of the best going around for a fair while, and we've unearthed Liam, who'll take Rowe's place now.

Without Cripps we'll struggle to win again this year. But possibly getting access to the best mid in this year's draft will be huge for us going forward.

I probably should have elaborated more here, my bad.

You're right. We do need an influx of midfielders, desperately. This is where my 'miles off it' remark comes in.

Marc Murphy - 31 next year.
Kade Simpson - 34 next year.
Dale Thomas - 31 next year
Bryce Gibbs - Likely ADL next year

That's 4 of our starting midfielders (I'm being generous to Thomas here) at almost the end of their careers with us. While we're at it, Rowe is 30 at the end of the year and coming off an ACL. That's 5 players we need to replace immediately, whilst also adding more talent. Sad but it's a reality.

Amazingly enough Levi is not the worst set shot In the comp.

Id rather him kicking for my life than Jack Billings and Will Langford.

What does that mean? He kicked accurately when his team was winning?
How does Levis 4 goals 1 against Port when we were getting thrashed rank?
Haha.

Levis kicking is heaps better this year. All we ask is that the boys give effort and improve year on year and Levi is doing that. That's a pass in my book.

Interesting. He's trailed off a bit. But kicking at a rate of 17.4 is real elite level stuff up there with the best in the comp so I guess he was never going to maintain that. At 25.16 he is a fraction better than the team total of 181.125. Almost line ball. To me that's pretty good. Let's see how he plays out the last handful of games as I guess that will determine his overall season. I'd love to see another little form spike. It will please those on here who think we plan to get something for him and it'll please me because i just like the way he plays and wouldnt be unhappy if we kept if.

He great for him to kick 5 goals a game every game until the end of the season, but I doubt it will happen.

Those shots don't count shots he had which went out on the full or didn't make the distance (which I am thinking is another 8-10 of his shots).

I can almost guarantee he will miss 1-2 important shots tonight which will kill our momentum.
