Much more mature team compared to two weeks ago. A lot more players that can run out a full game, given ourselves a real chance at a win this week in my opinion.

We won last week because of youth with enthusiasm and skill. That has gone this week replaced with a B- grader and a hack. No.

We won last week with a more mature side than the previous week

I'm hoping that this might be a goodbye game for Daisy. Dropped to the 2s for a couple of weeks, last year of the contract, play a final game against the Pies in their 125th.

I thought that may be the case the whole of last year when he limped to his 200th or whatever the hell it was.....and guess what, he's still here :{

Carlton is helping Thomas save face against the team he left.

Its a good team Kerridge or not.
No doubt Kerridge will play a role.

BB might go 2 negating players, perhaps tags, E Curnow and Kerridge.
Both have the motor to run either way and may score goals in a tagging role.

I am very confident this week. Same as last week.

We have our mojo up. They come in with a win, but they are in panic mode.
I think we are a tough team, and if it rains, well, we have a track record in slogs.
I consider Fisher and Silvagni as weaker bodies making way for stronger ones.

I would have like to see Boekhurst

Carlton by 23 on a slippery surface.

Two young players out, two older players in. Admittedly I don't know who is pushing up from the twos (Cuningham?) but bringing in at least one young player adds a bit more excitement to the team. The 'why not us' attitude of youth.

Selfishly it takes a bit of pre game excitement away.

Think they have picked a team they think will win this week rather than a team that will develop for next week and beyond. Pie party pooper picks.

Still think the Pies will win by around 3 goals.

I can't believe Bolts was on League Teams tonight and not one of the four of them during 15 mins of interview bothered to ask for any insight into the two ins. :donk:

Blues by 3 goals.

Pickett was terrible with the NB. He will need to show a better attitude before he gets back.

Jones was fantastic .... but ...we have fallen for that one before ...not sure they will take the risk.

McKay . .. not ready yet.

Kerr ... natural forward and improves every week ... not far away.

I reckon we will bring in one or more of the following.

Daisy (most likely)
Boekhorst ... playing well and adds pace.
Buckley... ditto.

What was it with Pickett you didn't like?

He just did not seem interested! Maybe I am too harsh ...

One of the reasons why GWS were very happy to move him on... he was still under contract to GWS.

Let's hope Pickett proves GWS wrong!

I see it that the MC are content to give a few more games in the 2's to the budding youngsters for now.

We still have quite a few developing 1st and 2nd year players in the side. There is a developing group of backline players improving their collective teamwork pretty much each week.

Lots to like with the performances of SPS, Marchbank and Williamson. And Macreadie goes alright.

Neither Fisher nor J. Silvagni would have been dropped if they weren't injured. They'll be pretty much straight back in when fit.

Plenty of talent developing in the 2's where for the first time in years we look to have a positive development environment.

Reckon we are a chance this week. I'm happy for the club to try to grab a chance to win at this stage of the season. Good for all concerned.

Whether we win or not there'll again be plenty of interest in the NB's Sunday game.

Go Blues.

In ins are a bit deflating but I still see it being a very competitive match. Both teams have forward issues so it could be pretty low scoring.

Who'd be more likely to kick two or three apiece, Moore and Fasolo or Casboult and Wright? Weirdly I think it's our guys and that could be the difference.

If SOJ and Fish weren't injured they'd be playing and, I assume, Keg and Daisy wouldn't and neither would any other kids.

It's just an week or two on hold for Cuningham or whoever is next in the queue.

I am just tired of Kerridge constantly turning it over, and Thomas going into his shell against his old club.

Anyone left from his era outside of Reid and Pendlebury?

How can you be tired of him.

The MC have given you a 3 week break from him.

He's tough and has a great engine.

I just hope he lowers his eyes and plays within his limitations.
He will be good for us if he does.

Daisy as an In is very deflating. Come on bolts, he couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat let alone a target inside 50.

Daisy was horribly out of form at the start of the season, but went back to the vfl and was close to BOG if not BOG. Im not a fan of his, similar to others, but if its in the teams best interest then I'm comfortable with the selections. We will see the youngsters in fullness of time and we still have a very young team. Im expecting a Blues win tomorrow and a deflated Eddie McGuire.

I hope so Blue Boys.
I was waiting every week for Daisy to be brilliant again. Gee I'd love it if he shoved it right up all us naysayers. Kerridge has performed well in the past - maybe he will again.
All I really want to see is 4 q. effort; real intent and effort.

No you don't. You hate it when we get flogged. Or even lose by a little bit.

I was gonna pick us by 10 points....but cannot now. No way known Kerridge and Thomas as ins will beat the Pies, esp with gun De Goey back in team. Should have played Boekhurst at least. Daisy has been terrible versus his old club so far and nothing to suggest this won't continue.

Sad to say.....Pies by 30+

Why were you going to pick us by ten points without knowing our ins and outs or theirs?
Do you decide these things at the start of the season or after the song the week before?
