Went at 75% DE on Thursday night and 80% last year. As a comparison Goddard who is considered an elite user went at 77% last year.

He's averaged 22 games a year for the last 10 and has been a fantastic servant of the club during that time. If we can squeeze a few more years out of him then we should.

Having said all that, don't let stats get in the way of your bagging though.


Did you see the game? Have a look at his first 3 or 4 kicks...

Being able to hit guys on the switch when they're 30 metres in the clear really helps the stats... stats don't always tell the full story!

Simmo could have had a shot at goal in the 2nd qtr but gave it to Murphy in a worse position...

And, yes he's been a fantastic servant!

Simmo is no Sam Rowe, he's no Luke Hodge with the footy but has always been a pretty good user of the footy, has reasonable speed, is creative and a courageous player..

I think sometimes our fans just want a scapegoat and it usually happens when a player gets close to 30...

There are some blokes that I will accept copping it. But Simmo is not one

Has tried his guts out for 14 years, has played in defence in some of the worse teams we've fielded and has always given 100% effort.
