for 15 years we've played as a club who internally, can't stand one another.
my worry is; that's not going to change until the board is dismantled.
What do you think is happening right now?
1. We are playing a bunch of kids who aren't fit and never been given a chance under an old Coach
2. We have an interim coach who won't be our future coach
3. We have a group of senior players who won't be here next year playing
I don't care how strong anyones will is, no incentive means no motivation, no motivation means crap results.
Now for the Board.
- The Board has restructured the Executive since MLG took over.
- The Executive has commenced a proper search for a new Coach, and as media have proven, kept it quite internal.
- The new coach will look to build out his assistants and development program.
- The Executive realised we needed a List Manager and got one
- The Executive will employ a Chief recruiter
- The Football Manager role will be reviewed at the end of year (My assumption). What more do you want them to do?
I see a lot of positives in what MLG is leading, whether people like him or not, I see the Club being modernised.
Lets just relax and watch what the pre-season brings to the table. Nothing will get us excited in the next few weeks outside of the odd cameo by a young kid.
Waste of a month.
