They have ramped up the defensive pressure almost at the expense of attacking football. We are kicking 5 and 6 goals a game because our skills under pressure are shizen. But even if we were good at this part I'm not sure we'd make enough opportunities to kick 100 points.

Which is ok if we can keep the opposition to 60-80 like we have in the last two games.

Or it May just be he's decided we should get defence and skills under pressure sorted first before becoming more attacking.

It's all about the process...

nah we are just an average team, nothing to do with Barker's change in coaching tactics

the only reason we kicked so many goals against Port Adelaide is because they allowed us

we have struggled against teams that apply good defensive pressure for years

there are simply too many players who can't kick

anyone else pick up in the pregame where they were saying carlisle is not going to re-sign on at the bombers, and carlton is in the box seat to pick him up. "there's a lot of mutual interest," i think it was stevens who said it.

surely we couldn't be that dumb

there is an impending two year sentence hanging over his head and we may be interested

although Mark Stevens hasn't got a clue so it won't happen

Points raised about Everitt and Murphy are spot on! Feel for Murphy because he gets no support from umps.
Yarran - yep I would drop as well. Henderson was disappointing and really poor but will bounce back.
IMO, Menzel looks injured and shouldn't have played. I feel his spot out of the pocket is taken up by Everitt currently and is a little lost playing further up the ground. I would settle Menzel there because he chases, tackles and is our future.
BTW - We need a small forward. :banghead:

Walls should be hired as a mentor to Barker (...or whoever becomes senior coach).

His comments are spot on and not afraid to offend.

But the repeat offenders are starting to fall into their lazy habits again. He missed Gibbs, who spends the night running around packs doing precious little and adjusting his hair.

It's this group that demand the big dollars and the star attention, whilst the unsung players are doing the grunt of the work.

Murphy is a good player who should be protected regardless, but a shocking pick as captain.

Just no authority.

Wallsy is a good Carlton person but more out of date than Mick don't want him at the club nor on the board
Both footy management we need good talent
The board we need corporate governance skills not some ex footballer come commentator

I heard it too. Is Carlisle a free agent?

Probably.

The CAS hearing will be done before then, so we'll know if he's worth the pick.

Why do we need the CAS hearing to determine anything? I wouldn't take him even for nothing. A really shit player imo. In the same class as Schoenmakers. That is a complete dud...
