Same, I go every week.
A very enjoyable game, although got very nervous in those last few minutes.
Cripps is a superstar and Docherty will be a beauty.
Amazing tackling side we have suddenly become, who would have thought.
So happy. Replay isnt on until 7.30 tomorrow morning, don't think I can wait that long.

Oh, the other highlight was when an over-excited Eddie McGuire called "Bryce Gribbs".

GRIBBS!

Deceptive goal sense.

Better keep Levi away from his missus then.

This is all we want as supporters... win, lose or draw - bring that every week.

CRIPPS... the reason you never write off a youngster... 12 tackles on the vast expanses of the G

Great to have that winning feeling back...

My big Con: from today is the Carlton supporters... where are you?
I thought they refused to attend whilst Mick was coach...
Looks like we have a loyal base of around 15-20k... that's Bulldogs, Saints, Demons territory.
Shame they missed out on a great day... watching kids develop.

We wouldn't have a problem.

Couldn't fit Levi, a 3rd party and Sav Rocca telling him where to put it, in the one toilet.

It's only taken 8 years for Gibbs to lay a tackle. Well done.

Me too, but...

I laughed a lot more when someone pointed out that over their careers Gibbs has more avg tackles/game than Cassisi.

Haha, embarrassing to be owned by Gibss in every stat including tackles.

Is Gibbs a chance to be rubbed out for it?

No prior tackle record, should get a discount at least.

Bell was the one to stand up in that back end of the last quarter... He grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck. It was KOUTA- esque at times. He is still very raw, but he can change a game like no-one else can. We can build a hawthorn like midfield around Bell and Cripps. No more bullying

Yep. Tackling was brutal. Won us the game in the end, with everyone contributing. Glad to see Menzel also join in at the end.

Thought Curnow was fantastic. Carrazzo OK, Bell a complete mixed bag but the positives took over in the end. Docherty and Graham huge.

Patrick Cripps though is on another planet. There is nothing that JPK can do that he can't, and I love Kennedy. 30+ and double figure clearances are one thing, but to add 11 tackles. Ridiculous.

Players tweet about him every week. This week it was Dan Hanneberry. I don't think everyone gets it yet, mainly because casual watchers only see the flashy things.

Brett Anderson from Inside Football was still claiming prior to this week that he isn't in Hogan's league for the Rising Star award. Not even close.

The fact he is a leader and has a great head on his shoulders makes him the complete package.

I'm too old to get attatched to players, but if he every left that might be the end of me!....

Finally hoping Blues21 makes an appearance in this thread....

Well said. Nailed it.

If you're comparing Levi to Carey it will only be a wink and a handshake from Levi.

What a fantastic win / performance. The perfect time for a boost in confidence. Needed this for the players to believe in themselves. Watching Cripps, Bell, Graham and Buckley running around doing that bought a huge smile on my face for many reasons. Henderson kicking the final goal when it mattered, as leaders do, was something as well!!!

Waisted season unfortunately but I'm not looking back.

Disagree. just a couple more wins in the first half of the year, and Malthouse would still have his job, and potentially a contract extension. It had to happen this way. i'm glad it did

RoCo starts his article with:

Quote:
What impact did Robbie Gray's subbing out of the game with concussion at half-time have on the result, the Port star having helped drag his team back into the contest before he was controversially slung to the ground by Bryce Gibbs?

Why did Jarman Impey kick to Travis Boak instead of having a crack at goal to give Port the lead with under four minutes left? Why did the umpire call for a ball-up instead of just calling play-on after Brad Ebert's pass to Sam Colquhoun was ruled touched near goal?

Was Boak stiff to be pinged for a throw in the dying seconds? How about a free kick count of 24-10? And so on.

I suggest he seems bitter at the result and he's gone off on Twitter

Btw, I sort of lost count of the number of defensive jobs we had today - anyone want to help me out on who tagged whom?
