If Mick leaves you're OK but the board that put him there and everybody else is doing a ripper job?
Oh ok

I think board needs to go too. But get rid of the initial problem first, tackle that next

saywrs is hardly involved.. and fahour has been sent to coventry...
hes not liked by most... hes way too demanding.. as a matter of fact they think of him as ... "he leaves a trail of destruction everywhere he goes"...

well when i heard that from a heavyhitter of the club... i was waiting for the rest of it... like... "and sooooooo?????"
there was no and so.... they dont like him hes a threat to how they wanna run the place...

i obviously didnt press because i like to hear them talk... and that was a no no with ahmad ...

most just bag him behind his back.... even though they themselves might be sburban bumpkins.. with no idea about big picture stuff..

he only stays at the club because mrs pratt needs him to not make the numbers too lop sided.

yu see... its not about the heads... its about the input...

fahour has been frozen out by all bar a couple of the pratts.
sayers is too busy.. but does what he can....

thats not a functioning board....

I agree, hence the change up. But let's not bag a committee process which informs the public.

If they hide the info, the candidate can kick up a media fuss and expose the board; if they produce the info the members make a more informed decision.

yeah... so wy have a commitee process???

well its there to maintain the status quo....

what the @#$%&!??.. nobody is going to go to the media.. and if anyonne thinks they wont be accepted they wont g to the committee process...

will they??

they might even find that they dont need an accountant on the board which is why he wasnt passed.. but try again next time.. there might be an opening for a number cruncher..

they can use any excuse they like....

you see how this machine can be used??... thats why you shouldnt have....

the fact they did think its important to have... and implemented it.. means they were thinking about this sector of the footy club.
the constitution on who gets on....and who doesnt...

but they didnt put as much initiative in other sectors..

no the constitution change was paramount...

and remember.. they were hoping to sneak that change through....i brought it up and it grew legs and the juice addressed it because he had to...

in the end 90 voted against it and 200 odd for it...

not hard to get a block of 200 odd votes.... because they were prepared for it....

the guy is a joke!!!

he thought he could sneak shit like that past us.. but i have a long memory and i will not be putting any money in till he flowers off.. with the rest of the board.. and the club changes...

but its not just me... there must be an army of me...

they should understand that

I see it as a tool Synners; a tool can build, a tool can be a weapon. A tool can also be used but you've covered that point well enough.

I've no doubt that's your strength in this discussion; I'm much more about systems that water down such influence and promote accountability.

..carlton hasn't had accountability in decades.. ..if I didn't grow up a supporter, I'd never become one.. ..we are a very, very dodgy club and have been for so long it's all we know how to be..

Getting on the front foot to nip the fallout from this coming weekends game in the bud.

What are the media going to talk about? Sack Mick.....nup already got the quotes from the Prez. Bag the list........nup already been bagged by the clubs Prez.

Smart move in that regards.

However, What happens with the rest of the season ? It could get real ugly.

A rebuild is good but others have been at it for years. Saints, Collingwood, Bris and the Dogs. We will have to wait our turn in the end just to be competitive.

We need a bigger play than just a list rebuild to truly compete.

Still reckon we should be running a candidate for the board at the end of the year - it may be futile but worth trying to keep them honest

I am surprised that there hasn't been any talk of a board challenge yet.
I don't think there should be a destabilisation of the club but enough is enough.
Can't believe we are back where we were 10 years ago. The average supporter and posters on here could see what was happening but the club seemed to have no clue.
It is unforgivable that our recruiting has placed us in this position again.

theyre behind the walls of a castle.. and theres a moat around the walls of the castle and theyre inside that

beautifully strategised to keep the status quo... thats what they have been focussing in

at the end of the year...

I'd be very happy if we got
Vossy or Roos with Vossy then takeover after 12 months.
No way they'll spend money on Roos now though.

I don't want Bolton. I wanted to punch him every time he appeared at a presser.
I'd happily have Ratts back for the rebuild. (There..I said it. stuff youse all!!!!!  )

but..is it possible that it will be SOZ?

might be alright?

..the rebuild won't take.. ..you need to sort out the team cultural issues before a rebuild will ever work.. ..once Judd, simmo and carrots retire, who will the new early picks learn from..?..

the classic stalling tactics by mark talking about 66 games rebuild.. is what does he expect will happen in 2 drafts???

with a bunch of players that will be finishing up indside of those 66 games... i wanna know what the 66 game rebuild actually means as far as where were going to be???

66 games means @#$%&! all really....
because we will lose jamo judd carrazzo simmo and possibly walkz and pplayers will be around 30 yo...players like murphy and gibbs approaching....

so where will 2 drafts take us in the line of that??

this is what shits me about trigg and juicy ... theyre so full of shit... why talk with meanigless timeframe????
just another string along......

maybe jimmae can shed some light??.. he seems to be the translator for this incoherent board around here..

..yup, 3 drafts isn't enough without going hard to gain more early picks.. ..when you consider the names above plus Jamo, and you can chuck in lesser lights that are often part of the starting 18 such as Rowe, wood, knockers.. ..you won't cover those 'spine' types so easily either.. ....we'll have more holes on te list in a couple of years than we do now.. ..3 years is optimistic..

u cant lose the players we have lost because they were delisted for being no good.. and expect youre going to cover what we dnt have many years of... in 2 or 3 drafts.. and lose your senior players...

one of the most ridiculous bullshit statements .. up there with sticks 3 flags 5 years

it just doesnt work because of wishful thinking
