Don't give two shits about this game.
Won't be watching it and will probably find the final score out from someone who mistakenly thinks I care about the result.

Asterisk.

That's bullshit.

The conditioning staff set the fitness levels and give him benchmarks to meet.

If he hasn't met them he should not be playing.

..hey, that's another issue.... ..there's plenty that for various reasons should not be selected.. ..but still are.. ..how many under done players over the years have we rushed in..?.. ..unfit players..?.. ..hurt players..?..

....but if he ran as hard and as much as he should, he'd be spent before the match is over.. ..but he doesn't.. ..same issues that he had with the dogs, and as we know we are not a good enough culture to undo his bad habits.. ..we can't undo the bad habits of our own players, why should another clubs bad habit players have any more hope..?..

....case in point, Everitt.. ....you can tell he didn't get his work rate from our club..

Our team can't get past the 2 quarter.

Something is up.

We gave it to them more than most during the last two years.
Hirdy will just walk into the rooms before the game and say this,
The supporters of this team have been calling you drug cheats for two years. Go out and shove their team up their arses." and walk out.

This has the makings of a 100 point plus defeat and MM has to stop it before it starts.

Walker has to come in and play the third tall up front.

I'kk go with Jimmae's team more or less. I love Armfield's footy. He gives you 100% at pace when he's fit and he knows where the goals are and he doesn't mind the hard stuff. Byrne is quick and has the Irish penchant for body contact. Touhy. Bell. Levi. Simmo. This will be a physical contest and we have to be ready for it. Gibbs is already shaking in his boots.

This is 2015 on the line. Go hard or go home.

..you say can't, I say won't..

....why are players like simmo, doc, hendo, everitt running all game up and back..?.. ....even smith who is blatantly not fit enough is trying as had as he can for as long as he can until he is spent, ditto cripps...... ..too many players lack of effort/heart.. ..not fitness..

Nah,

Saw it in the first game. Our guys could not chase a guy an arms length ahead of them 10 minutes into the second quarter.

..sure, but no way that is a fitness issue.. ..not for seasoned players so early in the season and in a game.. ....chasing players to put on pressure takes effort.. ..we lack effort.. ....we have some players that do put in the effort.... ..others simply don't.. ..it's just token crap.. ..too many want to play shoot out footy.. ....its as if they'd rather save their energy for the next stoppage to try and go forward, but running back to Chase to bring numbers for support isn't worth their effort..

..Cimm, our beloved blues don't love us back.... ..I agree there is something seriously wrong, but I don't think it is a fitness issue.. ....it can't be.. ..we have fit players, the preseason training period was actually good for a change.... ..seasoned fitness levels don't just dry up.. ....like the names I listed above, obviously some use their fitness.. ..others don't. Not because they can't, but because they won't..

....fitness levels looked up in both games' first Qs because the opposition was off their game.. ..but as soon as the tigers/eagles applied heat we just crumbled and went back into our shells, effort levels blatantly dropped.. ..that isn't about fitness.. ..it's about fragility..

So they just give up after getting almost 5 goals in front?

Something ain't right.

If you're not fit you can't execute an can't implement the plan, do the hard running, maintain the pace.

Have a look at the first quarter of the Tigers game.

We got shot's on goal White and a couple of others (names escape) and they are blowing so hard they can barely stand up, in the first 15 minutes of the game.

IMO They've cooked the pre-season, just like last year.

Graham had a huge final term, but you'd expect that versus U18s. Whiley faded.

Did you watch the game live jimmae?
If so, great effort delivering data to TC and watching the game.
If not, doesn't matter....other than seeing the players struggling as opposed to interpreting empirical data can be misleading.

Just curious, because I was rapt to see Whiley and Boekhurst with good numbers.

I wasn't there bondi, but Whiley had 13 disposals in the first three quarters. Basically had to wait for the kids to tire before he could stamp himself on the game.

My wording conveys my thoughts poorly, he faded in and out would be a better description. Both he and Graham had 8 disposals in the last quarter.

So Whiley wasn't ready last week because he faded and he's not ready this week because he got his possessions late?

You'd reckon Walker and Whiley would need another week in the VFL.

Watson won't make us better, but if Jones has another bad game then maybe we have to make that swap. Can you imagine a slower forward line than Watson, Casboult and Henderson?

I had a bad feeling during the preseason that Rowe was going to have a shocker and unfortunately it's working out that way. What do we do? Drop him and play Hendo back? The problem is that the only time we look any good is when Hendo is leading up. I think we might have to keep playing Rowe, at least until Jaksch comes back.

Anyway, we're shuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic. We're simply crap. Not fit enough. Not smart enough. Not hard enough.

On the positives......who will be the #1 pick in the Draft this year...?

To clarify ABNS, my line up would look like so:

FB: Byrne Jamison Rowe
HB: Tuohy Henderson Docherty
CC: Yarran Gibbs Simpson
HF: Bell Everitt Murphy
FF: Menzel Casboult Watson

RR: Wood Cripps Judd

Int: Curnow Tutt Buckley
Sub: Walker

I think that this is probably the best that we can come up with at the moment. Looking forward to the return of MK and or Warnock because we are getting smashed in the centre square, or at least that is how it looks to me without seeing any stats. I can't understand why Carratzo & Ellard are even still on our list. When we have so many players who need to lift, including,: Jamison. Rowe, Gibbs, Murphy, Menzel, Casboult , Wood, Tuohy and Henderson it is no wonder we are struggling. Half of of a starting 18, or more if you include Carratzo & Ellard.

Who is playing close to or at their potential? I am thinking Docherty, Simpson, Tuohy, maybe Bell and thats about it.

Wood is....

He'd be picked as a clearance midfielder, and likely after Cripps. The AIS squad would have had pace and skill, but not necessarily much body strength to a man; where are all his contested ball gets and clearances?

Players can blow up during a game and recover, and I think that's what happened here. Second game back after an achilles injury; missed half of the pre-season. I think he can wait.
