So much for planning for the future, what is the issue with Graham, how can McLean still be getting a game? If he went any slower he'd be going backwards. Still GWS without Scully and Cameron should be a win. And Josh Hunt should have retired 2 years ago, if he is getting a game they don't bat deep. Hard to imagine Curnow will play. Looks like Cachia has his papers stamped. McLean has done okay to prolong his career, but in a side one game off the bottom surely it is about the future. I guess MM is letting the committee know that he has no talent at his disposal in the 2s so his hands are tied. Good politician Mick

Love the way talk up McLean like he is an A grade mid...
The bloke is slow, below average skill and can't lay a tackle..
We are sitting 12th with the possibility of dropping to 15th after the weekend..
Can McLean improve?? Will he help take us back up the ladder??
Why not play Graham instead?? Not saying Graham is any better, but give him the rest of the season and then make a call on him, McLean is cooked people...
Unfortunately Cripps and Buckley are out, because we are looking more attractive as a TEAM..
I would like too see Graham and Johnson play some continuous games..
Before the years out I would like too see,
Simpson Jamison Buckley
Tuohy Rowe Walker
Yarran Gibbs Docherty
Thomas Henderson Johnson
Menzel Casboult Garlett
Kreuzer Murphy Judd
I/C; Graham Cripps Everitt
Sub; Robinson
Just my stupid opinion..

Yeah, I kind of thought the same.

But I thought that even the massive ego that is MM wouldn't ruin a young players career just so he could get a contract extension.

He’s an egotistical and a self-absorbed old prick that has already wrecked two seasons for his own personal gain.
I wouldn’t discount any length he would go to just so he could exaggerate his position.
He is has been sneaky, embarrassing and pathetic in the way he has gone about his individual position over the last few years, and that includes his last couple of years at Collingwood.

we don't have a future - here we are round 14 and no hope of finals and how many first year players have been played................one?, yes, cripps.

I hope GWS absolutely belt us ...................don't even know if I can be bothered watching

Which other first year players should we have played by now?

For each player you name, please also say:
1. How many games you've seen them play in the VFL this season; and
2. What attributes they will bring to the AFL that will improve our side; and
3. What role they will play in our current structure.

Thanks in advance,

ABNS

So, yeah, I reckon we'll win by more than 40 points.
The odds are ok for that too.

Not sure whether your complimenting McLean or insulting our list.

Shane Kersten played his 1st game for the Cats today and did okay. He has played 33 VFL games. Nick hasn't played too many VFL games owing to injury last year.

Just take a look at the number of games the Cats kids normally play in the VFL before they get a call up. Don't be in such a hurry. Let the kids get the runs on the board before having to step up. It is big gap between VFL and AFL, both mentally and physically. The classier, gifted talent like Menzel and Yarran can step up fairly quickly but the blue collar workhorses like Nick simply have to work hard for everything they achieve.

Regards Cazzesman

Is the issue he needs to work on aspects of his game?

Is he rated by the coaches?

Will we win? I have no idea.

Purely depends upon attitude. If we come out determined we can win and win easily. If we allow GWS to gain some momentum and confidence they could win. That's what it boils down to.

Concern I have is we look a bit tall and how match fit are some of our players? Then again we will probably have 2-3 late changes. :?

You've now reached BigBlueWave levels of ridiculousness with this vendetta.

Should add SuperDuperCoach in more often, the kids love it.

All players young players need to develop their skills in the reserves, learn to adapt to the heavy physical demands and expectations of Senior footy.
Some need longer than others given they have the right aplitude and mind set in the first place.
Ciao

Just read a terribly disturbing bit of info in a game preview.

GWS has never won back to back games.

Going on the number of milestones that continually come against the blues...

Lock GWS in
