Just a reminder that there's one team in the league that gets free kicks when the opposition runner gets involved

McLean has lost the plot this year.
He looks slower.. Older.. Less skilled.
I wouldn't be surprised if there is something wrong with him.
Either way we should have tried to trade him last year.
The slow types don't cut it in today's game.

McLean has always been slow, but this season, he's molasses in a bucket slow. His athleticism is mindblowing. His vertical leap at this stage of his career is about 8cm.

The brain fade not set up goal side of Warrnock to block any run from clean possession (on the Selwood gamewinning goal) when you know you're as slow as molasses in a bucket is really hard to take this morning. 120 minutes of just about every person to a man putting in for the jumper, only to lose because Brock bricked it with a minute to go?

For this I shall henceforth name him McLeanne.

In 1968 we won the GF against Essendon**.
Geoff Blethyn was the Essendon** FF against Lofts.
If I recall ( and it was a long time ago) Lofts got two frees because Blethyn went too early and took marks or maybe missed them but got hands to the ball. Why? because when he jumped onto Big Wes's shoulders the ball was more than 5 yards away. Blethyn missed one or two kicks at goal.
Warwick Capper made a career of going early. Walkers non MOTY had more hang time than Blethyn's.

We won a flag on the back of those wrong decisions. Sometimes they go your way and sometimes they don't.

Have to look back over 40 years to find umps giving us a leg up. Man they really do hate us!!!!!

We got a free against the saints when the ball went within 10 metres of their runner. Lappin inserts himself in the stoppage, and nothing.

Of course. Wrong opponent, wrong game situation to expect a free.

The non goal review thing just shits me. @#$%&! the goal review off completely if it's only going to be used sometimes.

They can't review it if the FB plays on after the decision. It's a failing in the rules and they played on straight away. Those are the sorts of things that separate the good teams from the rest. The tricks and the discipline.

..incorrect, cant kick out without ump signal, and yes they can recall ball for a review, they have done it before....

Thought Rowe was pretty handy last night for the most part. Did Murdoch play?

Typical lower order team, we don't know how to win, don't know how to seal the deal when we are in front. It's already been mentioned, but second week in a row 16 points up mid way through the last and blow it.

I don't like picking out incidents but, Garlett kicks the goal we win, then there was the dropped mark.... Ah Jeeze what do you do with him? VFL? Stamp his papers? Send him to a sports shrink?

What about Waite? Thanks for your service but your times up mate?

I've always had a bit of time for Brocky, but gee he's slow.

Yarran running around in circles then chipping a short pass drives me mad. How would you like being a forward trying to lead to that rubbish?

Why was Rowe left on Hawkins so long?

Ah jeeze, I'm going out for a coffee.

We are the masters of the honourable loss. So many times over the last 5 or so years.

Just picked myself off the floor to read the papers this morning and now ready to make a comment.

We all know (Cats supporters included) that we should have won, and Cats were lucky with umpires in their corner.

Umpires killed us off for the 2nd week in a row.
It is criminal.
So glad MM finally highlighted the influence umpires are having on the result. Its not whinging, its fact.

I've never seen my kids cry so hard after that Selwood goal.
Then the obvious Menzel round the neck not paid in front and they had had enough.
It kills me to see such injustice. It kills the kids' spirit and passion for the game.

Bias umpiring kills kids' passion...and my older boy wanted to be an umpire...pfft.

Extremely proud of the boys.
Yeah, we couldve won in without the umpires, but they influenced the game. Some couldve done better.

Garlett looked amazing on the one hand at times and everything you dont want in a footballer on the other: coward.
Waite flashy at CHB in the 1st Qtr and then did zilch after that: passenger.
MacLean started well finding space but he needs to know there's a defensive side to the game: one way runner.
Walker became a good shot at goal. What has happened to his kicking for goal: inaccurate kick.

I am so disgusted with the umpires...for the second week in a row.

So glad it isnt just my eyes seeing a player too slow for the modern game.

Too slow, and no defensive nous.

its not his fault he's selected week in week out. Is Graham faster than Maclean? I bet he is.
Oh yeah, but Brock is a good peeler...I've heard that before...those types referred to as down hill skiers.

brock keeps his feet... and run to more damaging areas on the field.

graham needs to run deeper patterns both ways... and theyre much of a muchness speed wise.
