Why is he the only omission?

He's not, and he's an emergency so that in the event someone doesn't come back, he HTFU and plays instead of getting effectively half a game off output wise.

Judd is another who now probably needs to be managed for a week or two before coming back in. Not because they're scared he'll get injured, just that he probably needs a good 3/4 of footy without the physical attention to get back up to speed.

Was on the train home and overhead one guy ask his mate if he was going to the footy tomorrow. Had to laugh when they other guy said "No, it's going to be cold and we're going to get smashed, I'm going to sit at home on the couch with a bottle of red and then I can turn it off when we start losing badly instead of sitting there shivering angrily at the ground!"

We are in this with a big show.................Cats were putrid last week. You just cant switch on form like a tap.The Cats are masters of congesting around the pill with a spare man out the back which they always use.Block that cheap avenue and we are well on the way.If you reckon it aint that simple then watch how the Swans played them last week...................Reckon this game will be played in the coaches box,a brain game you might say.Love to see Michael Osborne in the coaches box tomorrow night coz i reckon his knowledge of the Cats gamestyle would be invaluable.Osborne is one cluey hombre.................................besides,i reckon our backline is in peak form at the moment and will choke the life out of the Cats forwards. Also reckon Gibbs,Waite, and Irish are overdue to regain a bit of form.....................Blues by 8 for mine.

But Carazzo and McLean can lead the way instead.

They are both much better players than Judd- everyone knows this. Carazzo once won a best and fairest back in 2007 and McLean came 2nd in Melbourne's B&F of 2008. They are the future. Geelong will be scared to know how to match up against Carazzo and McLean. Who to match up? Geelong will be quaking in their boots obviously.

I would rather lose this week because we sent the message to the senior players that half arsed is not good enough than win and celebrate like we've won the GF.

I want to win all the time (including tomorrow) but in the context of losses against Melbourne, Richmond and Brisbane it will be useless. A stand has to be taken against the inconsistency of effort and dropping Buckley isn't it.

We are not even treading water at the moment, we are gulping water on the way to drowning.

Agree.

His first minute for 3 possessions against the Doggies showed his standing in the game let alone in the Carlton team circa 2014.

Buckley has played a lot of fairly high intensity footy this season, much more than he has at any stage of his career. Fair to surmise it has taken its toll. Nothing wrong with giving him a rest. Sit down before you fall down, Bucks.

As for Juddy, I've got nothing against the MC deciding he play a half or so in the 2s. You can do as much match practice as you want to, as many training sessions as you can cram into a week, but nothing compares to a game. Good for his fitness and touch to have him run around on Saturday at Princes Park.

Mickstar...you never know.

Anything can happen.

I'm watching from the comfort of home with a bit of confidence too.
Quiet confidence ...obvious why. Nothing to brag about.

But you have to play it really really slowly to match the way we move the ball. It would then sound like the bass line .
