Good guy and loves the club but not sure I'd want him as a board member.

I'd be better.

Vote 1 - GWS.

You know it makes sense.

Ill vote for you, if you vote for me. Two more of us and we'll have ourselves a good old fashioned Carlton faction.

Now we could be getting somewhere!

I laughed at my year 11 careers co-ordinator when she said I'd make a great scapegoat.

Now I get it.

I'm on board!

I'm warning you though: this faction is for reasonably useless people who have zero desire to either make or work connections with the Melbourne business establishment. We don't know what we're doing, but would do it with a certain sense of raffish style.

A raffish style, hey? So you're part of the Germinder faction?

I'm in.
I'll play the part of Donna Reed with a dark twist and wicked sense of humour.
The scones will be magical, the lipstick smudged, and apron, slightly askew.

Great to see John Elliott going into bat on the Footy Show for Tom Elliott as the next President.

Cliffs - former lawyer, owner of a global advertising agency who sold it in to open Cherry Bar, and now owner of Yah Yahs and Evie. As his Facebook shows - passionate Carlton supporter also.

Aside from being a really switched on bloke, my interest in getting him to run on the board comes back to how he has dealt with Melbourne City Council and the "agent of change" laws being brought in to protect owners of live music venues against new tenants complaining of noise.

I think dealing with MCC over the next few years, in terms of how we use the ground as an asset, is going to be crucial. He's got the runs on the board - and I'm sure a potential venue for Cherry Rock wouldn't go astray for him either.

Watch him hold court at Meredith Music Festival and you see he is a man of the people.

Would be a good laugh but not sure he is the man for the gig. Talks good footy at a grass roots kind of level if you can get a word with him at cherry.
